“Royal Taj is our go-to restaurant for special occasions, like our 20th Wedding Anniversary last week. It never fails to deliver excellence. Because it was a very special dinner, we decided to try something different. So my wife ordered the Lobster Malabar and I ordered the Grilled Halibut. Both were very good, especially the Halibut which was covered in an outstanding Corn Relish. To top off the evening our excellent server, Joshi, brought us a slice of very tasty cheesecake with a lit candle on top. As usual we cannot rave loud and often enough about Royal Taj and it is all due to the GM Binda, who is very friendly, charismatic and truly sets the tone of excellence at Royal Taj.”

My favorite is the shrimp quesadillas, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the menu items. I understand the churros are a favorite too, though I’ve not personally tried them. The drive home is brutal. The food smells so amazing, I can’t park the car fast enough. 5⭐️”

“Tried for the first time last night on a whim and really liked the dishes. My only plight as the portion sizes were so large and we ordered two dishes so we had lots of extras of the same thing. Next time will definitely ordered one dish to share, or two different ones to have more variety. Was a little overpriced. Paid $100 for two dishes and two bar drinks.”

“Excellent show. Actors/Actresses are wounderful, they are also your wait staff. Food is good, hot, and served buffet style. Food is themed per show. You have time to get and eat salad first. Then hot buffet. Buffet is opened for seconds if you would like, after everyone has been served one. Tables are send up several at a time. Ice cream barn is open in lobby, while actors are getting ready for show. You are given one of two choices for dessert, which is brought to you before show starts. Drinks, from soda, and ice tea, to mixed drinks are extra price, which table will be charged and given bill before table before show. Bill collected at intermission. Would recommend seeing show. Highly organized and well run.”

I had to call the day prior to change the time and the change the time without any issues.
Our waiter SYLVAN was Perfect. He knew the menu well and all of his suggestions were spot on! The manager greeted us as we were leaving and this was a nice touch to the gathering.

The mango shakes we ordered came about 5 minutes before the food. Not bad at all for a non-fast food spot. I got the Thursday Special which was Do Piaza and hubby got the Chicken Malai. The lamb in the do piaza was SO TENDER! When I tell you I had to remind myself to chew? That tender. The flavor was so warm and comforting and full. Definitely had to spit out a couple of peppercorns or cloves but I’m used to that what with my family being from the Caribbean where whole spices left in food are a common thing. The Chicken Malai was steaming hot with a bright and inviting flavor. The subtle but present taste of grill char mixed with the mint and parsley spices was so delicious. Don’t even get me started on the cilantro yogurt sauce. The perfect pairing to everything we had even though it was only meant for the Chicken Malai. I’m a sauce girl so I appreciated it being a flavorful addition to an already flavorful meal.I guess I should mention that the mango shakes were also delicious. I don’t know if they use fresh mango or not but I just really enjoyed that it wasn’t too sweet at all. It was more so refreshing than a dessert. I could definitely see myself drinking that everyday (and it low key passing for healthy). I’m not a huge sweets person and I’m used to shakes being sickeningly so but this mango shake was a perfect balance of sweetness, mango, creaminess, and ice.All in all we really enjoyed this place and will definitely be back the next time we find ourselves in Columbia, MD. We’re already looking for an Afghan spot in Columbia, SC and I hope it lives up to what we experienced with Maiwand Kabob.”

This place is a hidden gem, hole in the wall place. It's awesome, yes it's small but cozy highly recommend dropping by and grabbing a roll or two.

Back in south India they had this local brand called Hangyo which churned out the best Belgian chocolate ice cream I've had in my life. Hangyo was immeasurably superior than the competition and I patronized that establishment quite frequently- much to my own detriment.

When I had a taste of the Tall Tale chocolate ice cream here it was the same moment; all over again. Identical in every fashion. I haven't had ice cream like that in 80 months. Anyway, I am glad I don't live on this side of the country for the sake of my own health. Otherwise I would've had the top spot on the Charmery watchlist. Caveat, a few years ago they had some very rude people working the counter but they have resolved that issue and everything is great here again with the service. The atmosphere is typical take out pizza and sub shop. Very clean and neat. Easy parking. The food is always delicious. Give Philly's Best in Thunder Hill a try, you will be glad that you ordered pizza and subs here.

“Our organization held an annual banquet at The Turn House for the past 3 years. They have been an amazing host. The communication is responsive whenever I need to change plans or modify headcounts. The atmosphere in the room overlooking the golf course is cozy for our evening event. Many guests say that the food is excellent. The onsite staff are kind and attentive. Even though it is tucked away at a golf course, it is a place worth visiting for lunch or dinner as well.”

It was such a turn off because they were obviously done having food, and still spent their sweet time yelling over at each other, talking. Oh dear, it was a bit stressful during hunger pangs. I wanted to go home immediately, but that changed soon after we got our appetizer. 😅 Also, of note, several vegan items during brunch are unavailable during weekends and federal holidays. I didn't love that, considering it was my first time visiting their restaurant. So, just be cognizant of that. I really enjoyed the cauliflower bites, and my vegan "chicken" sandwich. Their home fries are marked vegan on the menu, so that was a nice surprise. With some bell peppers and a little bit of tomato sauce, it was a nice touch of zing.
