“Amazing food. About 7 minutes from I-95, Great Wolf Lodge, and Hollywood Casino. GREAT FOOD for take out. Every item they offer has been wonderful. I have been eating at this restaurant for around 30 years. The owners are wonderful, the food is wonderful. My whole family gets their Italian food, and they make my favorite cheesesteak. Small dining area, we usually take out and eat near the river.“

We found this place completely by accident.

We had driven to Perryville to pick up an online Ikea order from the nearby warehouse, and needed somewhere to eat while we were in the area.

I was not expecting anything special.

Then the food came out.

My wife suggested ordering the meatballs as an appetizer, and I am so glad she did.

They were clearly homemade.

Tender. Flavorful. Fall-apart good.

And the sauce was excellent.

Not bland… Not watery.

Not “generic pizza place red sauce.”

It tasted like someone's grandma was cooking in the back and actually cared.

Then came the pizza, which was just as impressive.

The crust was thin, crisp, and beautifully done.

The kind of crust that actually snaps a little when you fold it.

That is my kind of pizza. Just like in New York City.

What made the whole thing even better was how unexpected it was.

We were not on some carefully planned food trip.

We were not going out of our way because someone told us this place was famous.

We just happened to stop in because we were nearby.

And somehow we ended up having one of those meals you keep thinking about long after the fact.

It has been almost a year since we were there, and I still remember how good those meatballs and that pizza were.

That says everything.

Definitely worth stopping in if you are in the area.

Honestly, based on our experience, it is worth the drive.

P.S. I wish I had photos of the amazing food, but before we realized it, we had eaten everything! Time to go back!“

“We love this place and eat there whenever we want a good meal. Their crabcake dinners are delicious! It's a casual place but the food is very good, as well as the service! And you can get pizzas, subs, steak sandwiches, or dinners as take out too. On our last visit, they were in the process of installing ice cream freezers, which I'm sure will be a big hit! I got the Italian cheesesteak and hubby got the mushroom cheesesteak and we shared an order of the stuffed grape leaves. Everything was fantastic! I loved the sauce they put on my cheesesteak! “My gluten free pasta in the baked ziti was very al dente. I would have preferred it not be crunchy but the flavor was delicious. I'm hopeful that when I reheat the left overs that it softens up a bit. Great choice for gluten free option. I also got the gluten-free pizza. I am not isually a fan of gluten-free pizza but it was really good! I didnt get sick which is always a big win since I'm a symptomatic Celiac. I will definitely come back.“
