Have been going to Jimmie Cones since the mid 80s. Back then they had the best foot long hot dogs and other fare that they don't serve anymore. And, it is one of the few places that has sugar free cones. Hope it doesn't change for future generations.

Honestly, this place was a bit of a let down. We were really hoping to find a good nice cream place but Jimmie Cone did not fit the bill. We ended up tossing out half of our order because we just couldn't stand to finish it. Highlights: the serving size was large (but that doesn't mean anything if it tastes bad) and the service is really nice. What we got: Strawberry cake boat (chocolate and black raspberry ice cream) - 2* the lure of strawberries was what won us over on this one. We were very disappointed to find out it was basically like pie filling; super thick, synthetic strawberry jelly with strawberry slivers. The chocolate ice cream was better than the black raspberry but they both tasted like knock off brands you'd buy at a dollar general. It truly was quite the disappointment. We hope their frozen yogurt is better and we're willing to give them another shot. (We also want to do a taste test with their soft serve compared to the McDonald's right across the street, but I digress.) While the menu said the cake was a generous portion, compared to the amount of ice cream and whipped cream it was rather small. I definitely thought it'd be thicker. We ended up throwing half of it away, neither of us could stomach to finish it nor was it worth saving for later.

Very friendly staff! Ice cream is ok -- massive amount (order a small!). It was a bit messy to eat, but exactly as promised in terms of flavor and toppings.

Jimmie Cone is a staple in the local community of Damascus. As a former Damascus resident and DHS graduate, if you don't get Jimmie Cone at least once month you're doing it wrong. While I have since moved to Virginia, I still make my way back to Jimmie Cone at least once a season to enjoy their soft serve ice cream. My go to is always the classic chocolate vanilla twist but occasionally I'll enjoy a cookie dough flurry or a chocolate shake. Be sure to bring cash!
This is the best ice cream for miles around. I think nothing of driving ten miles just to enjoy the delicious ice cream at Jimmie's. They just redid the parking lot but it still gets crowded on a warm evening.
