The food tastes great, you are usually in and out very quickly, and they have fantastic memories and will greet you by name. Properly proportioned sandwiches made from great quality ingredients, good bread, and friendly folks at the window. The Gandolfini and Italian Cold Cut were both fantastic. A hint of sweetness in the horseradish sauce on the Gandolfini helped to tame the sinus-clearing spice and melded well with the robust beef piled high on a soft hoagie roll with just enough chew to keep your chompers satisfied. A healthy helping of hots on the Italian keeps this hefty helping of quality cold cuts perky, and the vinaigrette keeps it bright. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying even more sandwiches soon! It's a must-visit if you're in the neighborhood.“

“The ladies that run this Deli/Convenience store are so sweet. If you're a regular and are a little short they let you bring it back. It's really hands down one of the cleanest Delis around here. Their grill and kitchen area is sooo clean. No bugs or signs of rodents. Definitely should give em a try and help out a small business!

“Went by the get a sandwich and Jay was very helpful. The environment is friendly and the pricing is very fair for how much you get. Jay did a really good job balancing fillings and sauces so my sandwich was not dry or soggy. There are a lot of drink and chip options and the vibe is chill. It does take a minute for them to make the sandwiches so plan on sticking around for a few or plan on walking the block. It’s a local business and it tastes better than subway so if you’re debating, just walk the couple blocks, you won’t be disappointed.“

“This place has the best sandwiches hands down. They've got a ton of different kinds and all of them are tasty. Try the White House if you really want a good filling sandwich. The cheeseburger and fries are the best in the area. Typical small diner area with enough space for about 20 people. Be warned, this place gets crazy busy during lunch time but worth the small wait.“

“Talk about a hidden gem and don't judge a book by its cover. I'm down in the area at least a few times a month for work and have driven past this place many times. I was craving fried chicken today and when I googled fried chicken in this area, this came up.

Great service, great chicken, definitely will be a repeat customer. Don't let the generic esthetics like the old looking exterior or unoriginal designed sign fool you. This place is the real deal. I can't wait to come back.“

I tried the Cuban panini, which had great ham and pork, but would have been better IMO if the flavor wasn’t overwhelmed with too much yellow mustard, which also made the otherwise tasty bread soggy. “I went to Young’s Deli based on the TA reviews and because of proximity. The Korean-American proprietor is exceptionally friendly and she makes a great hot chicken sandwich. If it weren’t for the sandwich boards out front of the building, this place might be impossible to find at 20 S Charles St. If I’m ever back in this area of Baltimore on business, I’ll be back.“

“I’m from New York. I lived near a deli that made the absolute best egg sandwiches. Needless to say I was a big fan. I went to Roby’s and the gentleman at the front desk was very polite. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and lo and behold the taste was excellent just like my New York Deli!
The sandwich was a bit small and only had one egg, but the taste is what matters and next time, which there will be, I’ll order two eggs.
The sandwich was done very quickly also important. Just a bit on the expensive side but fresh and very tasty so I won’t complain about that. I recommend this Roby’s deli for the best egg sandwich in Towson.“

“Definitely not on my list of Go-2s for healthy food. But I do enjoy eating there sometimes. The service is so-so but the food is good. Understand, that I don't like going to a place that if you say you don't want my food a certain way, and then they put too much butter; for example. Then, they have an attitude about fixing your food🤨😏.. other than that I recommended. As far the atmosphere goes.. I don't feel like 99% of the restaurants out there, even diners or full-blown restaurants (if they are serving African Americans)
I just do not feel like the quality of the atmosphere and sometimes the cleanliness is going to be Up-2-Par.. Just my opinion!! But It's definitely not dirty, because If so I would not suggest eating there. However, it is just not fixed up at all. It's just okay to grab lunch & go.“

“I have never been in this restaurant but just looked it up on line after ordering here like 4x thru Grub Hub. It's giving Pete's Grill type of food - vibes. It's not Pete's Grill from the looks of it BUT the food I've ordered the last 4x in 2 weeks has been hot and delicious. The Pancakes are perfection - 3 pancakes for 5 or6 bucks is very decent. The grits come buttered and seasoned, the hash browns are grilled and browned. I've ordered from Pete's Grill and Ms Shirley's. Ms Shirley's can be expensive and Pete's gets busy. Golden Star Carry out is my new favorite spot for breakfast.“

“The food is actually delicious. Downside is when they first open, 1 person is taking orders (phone and in person), preparing the food, and cashing people out. There will be a line waiting, while they are on the grill, and they will actually answer the phone and take new orders before addressing persons in the line and then return back to the grill. They need more employees or something.“
