Everything about our visit was wonderful. The customer service was excellent and the food was outstanding. The food at this location far exceeds that of any other Mission location that we have visited. On top of it all, we were treated to sweet potato pie, which is among the tastiest ever. For us, the 20 mile trip to Ellicott City is well worth it, despite passing other locations along the way.
First-time guest and what a visit it was. All of the staff were very attentive and welcoming. Didn't know what to order. However, Emma took the initiative and told me how things worked. She even allowed me to sample 3 items before making a selection. I was impressed with her friendly disposition and demeanor. The food was delicious, and I was blessed with some other goodies while eating. Thank you, Mission Barbecue, for your amazing customer service. Although this was my first time, it won't be my last time.

This is a bit of a lengthy review because the experience was one of a kind and I believe in due diligence where credit is due. So here goes.My first time at Mission BBQ and must I say what a memorable experience! I was instantly greeted by a cheerful and enthusiastic Belle Henderson. The vibe felt like everyone was family, very close-knit with a strong foundation. I later learned that she works alongside her mother Stacy Henderson who was also incredibly personable. Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree! Belle was exceptional. Friendly, fun, lighthearted, professional and eager to give me recommendations and samples of anything I wanted to try since I made her aware it was my first time. The food came quickly and was better than anticipated due to the wide selection of homemade BBQ sauces and delicious vinegar. The food was A+, the ambience and atmosphere of the restaurant was A+, and the customer service was A+. Belle came by to give me a brownie on a plate that said welcome, as well as a free sandwich coupon for when I return, which I most certainly will. That was the icing on the cake. I went to my car and grabbed my wallet to give a tip for this awesome experience (I use Apple Pay and don’t typically carry my wallet). 10/10 will definitely recommend, and will check out the Mission BBQ in my home state of North Cackalacki!
I get Mission ever Thursday (as my wife has a standing obligation, and its my go to). I have only ever had the brisket platter moist (plus sides). up until about 6 months ago its was exceptional. Im a big BBQ Brisket guy and know good brisket. The quality control seems to be gone, either in the cooking or the meat quality. its rarely moist, and now flavorless. occasionally we will get lucky, but not the norm. Last Thursday for the first time, we tossed the food in the trash, it was that bad. I think our run at Mission has ended. Ps: Love what they stand for and the staff is exceptionally well trained.
We did take out for our jobs holiday party, and we ordered alot of meat! It was amazing and cooked perfect! Staff was amazing as they were clearly busy with many orders, each person that was there to pick up during my time was given a thorough explanation of their orders, packed and brought out to their cars!

We decided to celebrate our daughter's first birthday here... Which came from a recommendation through a Facebook group...I basically needed a place where I could easily host up to 20 people and rent a room for cheap.Little did I know you could reserve the private room for FREE!! Check.We already knew the food would be great (we actually catered Mission BBQ for our baby shower lol).So I'm basically here to talk about the service. From reserving the room to placing our order to the actual day of, everything was smooth. I was worried I wouldn't have a reservation confirmation email about my stuff, but the team at the EC location run a tight ship with recording everything in their physical book.Day of, everything was set up great. The room was clean (there's even a private bathroom!) Mo was our person to help take care of stuff, and she was A M A Z I N G. She checked in on us (honestly at the perfect times), and was so accommodating. Being a new mom trying to host a party for a one year old while still entertaining guests....lots of stress kinda! But Mo was just that added calmness haha. She was awesome.Anyways, if you're looking for a place to easily, stress-freely, and cost-effectively host a gathering....do Mission BBQ.Thanks Ellicott City Mission BBQ!!!
