I tend to like trying a bunch of items my first time going somewhere, so I tried a mezze plate of things like: falafel, hummus, babaganoush, fries. It was all very tasty. My non-veg friend liked her food as well. The decor/vibe is charming. Staff was friendly but slow, as it seemed like one waitstaff was taking care of both floors that were open.

One of my favorite restaurants to go to. Excellent food, fantastic service. The bread is so soft and delicious. And Brian, who served us today, was such a gracious host. He was friendly, professional, and very welcoming. I highly recommend this place for those who want delicious Syrian food. Everything is yummy. The baba ganoush, falafel and Hummus are my favorite.

This place is my go to in Historic Ellicott City! They have food, coffee, other yum drinks, deserts and more. All you do is walk in and order at the counter. Staff are consistently friendly. If you’re eating in they have seating available downstairs (limited) and upstairs, and on nice days the balcony is open! (If it’s a busy day make sure to reserve a table outside so you can sit on the balcony.) Inside is also beautiful with traditional arts and assorted goods decorating the place. The staircase is a little steep and skinny so keep that in mind if you have any mobility issues.

For food make sure to get the spinach fatayer, we got some to take home after we finished our meal. If you get baba ghanoush or hummus you can add extra pita for $1! The pita and olive oil they use alone would make us come back!

Vegetarian options: They have falafel and another vegetarian sandwich option. They also have vegetarian salads and small plates like the spinach fatayer, dolmas and dips/pita

Stopped in for a quick solo lunch on a rainy day. Had a great experience! I ordered the ground beef kebab platter and a Syrian coffee. The flavors were how I remembered from my time in that region, and the meat was juicy. The service was polite, cordial, and accurate. Another guest asked for the music volume to be adjusted and he did so for them.

Dietary restrictions: I asked for gluten free, and was accommodated without issue. So far, no reaction!

Grilled chicken sandwich was very dry and had unedible chuncks, I lost my appetite. also I don't understand why I was told to order at the counter, then go upstairs, I wanted to order dessert with coffee after dinner but decided to go somewhere else because I already paid downstairs.

This place was alright. I was expecting a bit more flavor in the food. My wife had the lamb shops that were small and over cooked. I had the chicken wrap. I added the fries to my meal, but the portion size was tiny. The waitress was not warm or welcoming. The garlic sauce was good! Probably won't come back.

The food at Syriana was obviously prepared many hours beforehand. The kufta was very, very dry. It was hard to determine the flavor. The falafel was a complete and total atrocity. It was obviously homemade (points for trying) but was greasy and undercooked! For an Arab restaurant with “Syria” in its name to serve falafel like this is a crime. I wouldn’t dare bring my friends from Aleppo to this restaurant. On the positive side the atmosphere and the building itself are charming, and the staff are very friendly.

I really wanted to love this place, but it was just ok. I came here with my husband and a friend for lunch. We liked the atmosphere, but the food was just ok.

Wheelchair accessibility: Not handicap friendly. Lot of stairs.

And absolutely delightful local spot. The food and service are incredible. Great date spot, especially over the weekend when there's usually live music in the main dining room on the second story! Lovely balcony for outdoor eating. Great walk-up counter to grab a quick baked treat or coffee/tea to-go.

Vegetarian options: There are several main dish, side dish, and baked good/dessert options for vegetarians here.

Dietary restrictions: This restaurant has vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, and kosher/halal options for main dishes, side dishes, and desserts.

Wheelchair accessibility: This restaurant is not very wheelchair accessible to dine in. But it is fine for takeout/delivery!

I was on a road trip heading home and was looking for a place to get Turkish coffee to get my day started. I searched on Google maps and found this cafe that was on my route. The gentleman was very friendly and the coffee was perfect. I really like how the place is set up. If I lived in the area I'd go here frequently. Also, this is the first time I've been in the town. I had to take a walk around before I left. I'll definitely be back the next time I visit the area.

We just had lunch there and it was wonderful! First of all, the setting is so beautiful, with so many interesting places to sit, upstairs on the terrace or in one of the cute little rooms. The food was excellent- we got a bunch of different things and ended up ordering more food to take to our family. Highly recommend!
