I usually do not give bad review if it’s not too bad of an experience. I got scammed. I ordered two salmon avocado rolls, and asked to add cucumber. When I check out they added $3 for the cucumber that’s in the roll. They didn’t mention the actual money at all at the order or check out. The rolls were tiny, they fit two rolls in one small box. There’s a lot of cucumber in the roll, but tiny salmon pieces and avocado pieces. It just regular taste sushi, not even as good as Wegmans’. This $20 for two tiny rolls, definitely a scam. I should have drove 5min more to Wegmans instead. Very disappointed.

Yeah not a single bad thing to say. Ramen was a solid 9/10 and the sushi was some of the best I’ve had. Super fresh and great presentation.

What a great neighborhood gem! We got edamame, purple sweet potatoes, fried oysters, shishito peppers, and tuna, eel and California roll sushi (we were hungry 😜). Everything was delicious, including the tea! Our server was lovely. Looking forward to going back!

We stumbled across this gem last year after a soccer tournament and now make a visit every time we are in the area. The food is absolutely amazing, especially their steak hibachi. Everything tastes so fresh with great thought put into each dish. My kids also love the food! The owner has given us such great hospitality from the moment we walk in until we head out.

A hidden gem in Ellicott City!

We went to Yama Sushi today and I’m honestly blown away. We tried the Spicy King Roll, Butterfly Roll, and Columbia Roll. All fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The owner even brought out a sample of seared salmon belly, and it was out of this world!

The service was just as amazing as the food. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. I can’t believe I’ve lived in HoCo this long and never tried Yama Sushi before. It’s officially my new favorite sushi spot! Highly recommend for anyone who loves great sushi and great people.

Disappointed. This is the second time ordering here for pickup. The first time blew me away and I wanted to go back. I had the Gyoza and Yakisoba, and I spent 3 years in Okinawa Japan and this was the closest cuisine I’ve come to tasting like authentic Japanese food. Today I’m disappointed because I received 5 frozen calamari for $12. I wonder, if I would have dined in would I have received the same amount or because I was picking up my order, you know I wouldn’t come back and complain? Your right, instead I will ensure others know not to waste their money on the calamari, you can get better and more at Giant next door. Thank you for delicious meals and sushi, just a bit disappointed.
