If you want good sushi you have to go to Yama Sushi period. The sushi is fresh and tasty, and they have a vast selection of rolls. I always get my usual rolls and try a new one. I have not been disappointed. My wife and I have been going here for several years and the service has always been stellar. The owner always greets us and makes us feel at home. I highly recommend this place.

The food here was absolutely amazing!!!! Everything was so flavorful and the fried ice cream was sooo delicious I wish I took a picture but we were in a rush. Service was quick and nice. Definitely recommend, not too pricey. Spent 72$ for 2 including the 20% tip.

Wonderful restaurant! The owner is so kind and the sushi is amazing! They do salmon belly in the Baltimore Roll, which I've never had before but I will crave it every time I come home to Maryland! Great rolls and great other stuff too!!!

I'm going to say this once - drop what you are doing and go. Now. I have not had sushi this impeccable in a long time. The salmon belly appetizer was possibly one of the best things that has ever crossed my lips, and I was afraid that it couldn't get better. WRONG! The spicy tuna, crispy rice was spicy and crispy and all the right ways. Even something as straightforward as a tuna mango roll was expertly prepared and delicious! Will definitely be back here the next time I'm in town.

We live more than an hour drive away, but every time we're nearby we go to lunch at Yama sushi. It's the best sushi in DMV! Their salmon aburi is PHENOMENAL? everything is always fresh and prepared with care, not only tasting delicious, but also looking beautiful. The staff is very attentive and the owner personally greets the guests. We've been coming here for years and will continue the tradition ? Thank you Yama team!

Always delighted with Yama Sushi and food orders. Even though they were busy with calls for a restaurant night, they were professional and courteous. Yama Sushi is our go to local sushi place. Domo arrigato, Mr. Roboto.
Very great and freshly food. Highly recommend the chirashi, and the seared salmon sushi. So creamy and delicious. The service is great too. I have only been here three times with a long gap between the visits, and the manager still remembers me. The environment is cozy and elegant. Try these dishes!

Gonna have to update my review because I've gotten my order wrong too many times but today's experience was the most disappointing. I ordered via DoorDash this time so I wasn't able to see the mistake until the food arrived. I got the Any 3 Rolls lunch with Philadelphia roll, BBQ Salmon roll, and a Sweet Potato roll. For some reason, the BBQ Salmon was replaced with a California roll. I had also asked for cooked salmon on the Philadelphia roll as my friend don't eat raw fish and they didn't give us that. Both the Godzilla and Sunset roll was missing. That is half the order. The only right thing is the Spicy Tuna hand roll.

Small neighborhood sushi restaurant runs by Chinese. Price is right which is expected for neighborhood restaurant. But they put too much rice on nigiri so you will have full of rice with very thin fish in your mouth.I think your experiences will be based on your expectations.

Very enjoyable dine-in lunch with my husband. We had an assortment of rolls (spicy salmon crunchy roll, yellowtail jalapeño, salmon mango, salmon avocado, and yellowtail). All were delicious. Very fresh ingredients and well presented. The wasabi was noticeably better than most sushi restaurants I’ve tried in the area. Service was above average. Will most certainly return.
