We live about three hours away and were in the area picking up an online purchase when we decided we were hungry for seafood. After checking out the options nearby, we chose Rube’s—and what a pleasant surprise it was!
We ordered crab cakes, fried haddock, jumbo fried shrimp, a bacon cheeseburger, French fries, onion rings, mashed potatoes with gravy, crab soup, coleslaw, and tartar sauce. Everything was absolutely outstanding in flavor! The staff was also very friendly and accommodating, which made the experience even better.
If we’re ever back in the area, we’ll definitely be returning to Rube’s!

someone suggested this place - thank you! It was delicious- crab dip over pretzel roll, soft shell crab, broiled crab cake and chesapeake chicken were fabulous. If you are in gettysburg area - i were definitely suggest it!

just came from there and got the access shrimp and my wife got the crab legs. worst seafood I've ever had. waitress said everything was straight out of the steamer. yea right! straight out of the microwave is more like it! couldn't even peel the shrimp let alone eat it cause it so dry and no flavor at all. never go there again!

This time, the shrimp was overdone. Everything else was very good. We were seated on the very end of the long tables, so we had to straddle table legs the whole time. That wasn't very comfortable. Make reservations!

This place for Maryland Blue Crabs and seafood is a dream come true for us Western Pennsylvanians. We love visiting here. We called for a 12 top an hour in advance and they made it happen on a Thursday night. Loved this place.

The food really more than makes up for terrible service and a man yelling over me to other people. So annoying. The ONLY thing i can say bad about the food was that it wasnt butter. When i asked for lemon i got 3 halves. Trying to get the attention of the waitress was definitely insane. We waved our arms and yelled to her without her even noticing. She had plenty of time to visit people that she knew so that was disappointing. But even with all of that… the food is just WONDERFUL !!

Table of 5 four of us got all you could eat crabs . They brought a tray out of crabs when we got there around 20 of them . Then they would bring 6 out at a time . That was watery and barely hot . Rumor had it they were low on crabs but still charging people 50.00 for all you can eat . They definitely need more help . Didn’t have clean spoons for the soup . Didn’t keep up with refilling our drinks .

Great spot for AYCE crabs. $50 seems like a great price to me, especially being from Pennsylvania. Also both soup options were on point. Will be back in the future.
