“I just have to share the fantastic experience we had tonight. My husband and I went to The Local around 6:30 pm (prime time without reservations lol). The only available seats were a high top table in the bar area. They asked us if that was ok and we said “sure”. Within a minute or so after being seated, it became apparent that our vision of a nice relaxing dinner would be impossible in that room. The Preakness was about to begin, and that bar was loud and hopping! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I love to see people enjoying themselves. It was a party, but just wasn’t our vibe tonight. We decided we would go elsewhere. We politely informed the hostess that we were going to leave because it was just a tad too noisy, but that we would definitely return again soon. We stressed that we were not mad, or upset. As we were walking to our car, a very nice gentleman followed us out and asked if we would consider returning if they could sit us elsewhere. We said “Of course!” We didn’t think there were any other available tables, but he said they would work something out for us. We told him we didn’t expect them to go out of their way for us and that we could wait. Within five minutes, we were seated at a lovely table in the dining room. We later learned the gentleman that helped us was none other than the owner/ executive chef Zack. We went on to have a delicious dinner with the most attentive and charming server. They demonstrated exemplary customer service, which sadly is lacking in many other establishments. We weren’t expecting any special treatment, but they certainly went above and beyond for us, and it was very much appreciated! When we were leaving, Zack happened to be outside, so he made sure to ask how our experience was. We told him it was amazing, and that his restaurant has been one of our favorites since it opened. We told him we would be back soon. Our experience there tonight is just one of many examples why this restaurant stands out, and why we will always highly recommend them! “I had the best 60th birthday lunch with my Mom yesterday. Our food was amazing. My Mom raved about the California burger and sweet potato fries. I loved the beets which are my favorite item on the menu. The birthday dessert was delicious and decadent. Our waiter was awesome! An overall 10+ experience. Thank you!“

“I had my bday dinner there last night. Our reservations originally were for 6-8 and it ended up being 13. They accommodated everyone with zero issues, on a Saturday evening at that. Everything was amazing… service, food and drinks. Thank you for helping me celebrate a great birthday❤️“

“This is the third time we have been to this diner. The wings are very good. They have a very inclusive menu which is very helpful with people with allergies. It is also the only place I found an option without having to alter anything in the recipe. I wish they would add a df notation on the menu like they have gf and v. I was so happy to find delicious hummus and cauliflower pita. The bartender was thoroughly looking through their allergy menu (they need an updated one) which was very nice. It is busy there but today we really only had to wait for the check. They also have dairy free milk shakes!“

“My wife and I came here on a Sunday evening for a quick dinner. The employees were very kind and attentive. Our waiter took both our appetizer and entrée orders at the same time, something we usually do to save time. The food arrived quickly and was hot when served.

I ordered the Volcano Ramen, Sexy Jalapeños, and Crystal Shrimp Dumplings. The dumplings were tasty, but the sauce that came with them really made the dish, a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The Sexy Jalapeños had good flavor, though the different textures and consistency could be a bit much after a few bites.

The MVP was, of course, the ramen. The broth was hot and flavorful, and the toppings complemented it perfectly, adding a comfortable level of spiciness.

The only downside was being seated by the door. If you’d like to avoid DoorDash drivers waiting nearby for pickup orders, I’d recommend asking for a table toward the back if available.“

“The food is always delicious, even at 1 AM. Service is excellent, and always ready in the estimated time window. The employees are friendly, and offer great customer service with a smile. The chicken bowl is my go-to, which offers a good balance of taste, healthiness and price.“

Dawn took our order, served our order, check on us several times while dining, and finally gave us our check. Most waitress now take your order and give you your check and want a 20% tip.“

“We live right around the corner and drive past this place constantly. We've lived in Parkville for five years and came here for a Bluey brunch sometime last summer with our toddler. We decided to try the actual restaurant part tonight for dinner. The food was outstanding and our waiter was attentive and very friendly. Very lively, festive atmosphere, but my one complaint is, MAN, was it loud in there. My daughter spent the first 10 minutes after we got there holding her ears because it was so noisy. But I guess that's to be expected from one of the most popular local restaurants in town. Will most definitely be back!“

It's my favorite, too. The lasagna had so much of the wonderful delicate tomato sauce, it was covered. This is the real authentic lasagna of Italy. For a tasty pasta with a kick, the Salmone Al Pesto has a marvelous creamy pesto sauce, & a heaping of small fresh button mushrooms. They say it's only 6 oz. of salmon but the whole plate was covered in large segments of it--it's large enough to take home for a second dinner. Mama had made her own Tiramisu. The delicate sponge soaked with flavor is something not to be missed. Get it when you can. The service from Madison was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable & extremely helpful. This is a wonderful place for authentic Italian meals.“

“On July 25th I ordered 1 doz. Large Steamed Crabs ($95) from Madonna Seafood. Madonna "used" to be the best place for crabs. They were always consistently seasoned well....that was not the case yesterday. This dozen was completely dried out...they were either VERY overcooked or my guess is they were re-cooked. Definitely not worth $95....please retrain your steaming team or you will lose business. i will be going elsewhere.“

We met our favorite server around then and are so grateful to get to continue going back and getting amazing quality service. Heather is an amazing asset to Pats. No matter day or night when she’s on the floor running the dinning room, our dinning experience is A+. Sad to see she’s no longer on tables on Wednesday’s we were so surprised. But that didn’t stop us, we just come on the weekends. We visit on her shifts only so we know we are guaranteed top notch service. “I hosted a corporate dinner party at Boordy last night, and it was my first time being at their facility and getting to experience what they offer. After a miscommunication between myself and the (external) caterer, who was providing food for the event, I was left scrambling to figure out how to accommodate all of my guests in a very short amount of time. Grace and Carly immediately leapt into action and saved the day, no questions asked. They went above and beyond to help out, never once stressing out or making the inconvenience seem like an inconvenience. It was top notch service from both of them all night and extremely appreciated! The wine was wonderful, the space was great and I can't say enough good things about the service. “We are a local business and we ordered 25 pizzas for a holiday party. Best prices around and the pizza was delicious. Called the day of to confirm 6 pm delivery. 6pm the driver walked in the door. He was incredible nice and helped set up the pizzas. We are a few miles away and it was rush hour. The pizzas were so hot that we had to wait a few for them to cook down. One of the best pizza places that I have purchased from and will definitely order from them again.“

“The service at this location varies. However, yesterday ( July 18th), around 6 pm, I went in for a personal pan pizza and was pleasantly surprised because Phoebe was a wonderful associate . She expressed that she would be with us shortly while servicing someone else, then she came from around the counter to bring our carryout order to us at the table. The pizza ( bque chicken) was hot and pretty good. It's still a slow service as far as preparing the food. However, it was good service! The restaurant area was fairly empty, and it normally is , I suppose, ppl normally carry out.
