“I just have to share the fantastic experience we had tonight. My husband and I went to The Local around 6:30 pm (prime time without reservations lol). The only available seats were a high top table in the bar area. They asked us if that was ok and we said “sure”. Within a minute or so after being seated, it became apparent that our vision of a nice relaxing dinner would be impossible in that room. The Preakness was about to begin, and that bar was loud and hopping! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I love to see people enjoying themselves. It was a party, but just wasn’t our vibe tonight. We decided we would go elsewhere. We politely informed the hostess that we were going to leave because it was just a tad too noisy, but that we would definitely return again soon. We stressed that we were not mad, or upset. As we were walking to our car, a very nice gentleman followed us out and asked if we would consider returning if they could sit us elsewhere. We said “Of course!” We didn’t think there were any other available tables, but he said they would work something out for us. We told him we didn’t expect them to go out of their way for us and that we could wait. Within five minutes, we were seated at a lovely table in the dining room. We later learned the gentleman that helped us was none other than the owner/ executive chef Zack. We went on to have a delicious dinner with the most attentive and charming server. They demonstrated exemplary customer service, which sadly is lacking in many other establishments. We weren’t expecting any special treatment, but they certainly went above and beyond for us, and it was very much appreciated! When we were leaving, Zack happened to be outside, so he made sure to ask how our experience was. We told him it was amazing, and that his restaurant has been one of our favorites since it opened. We told him we would be back soon. Our experience there tonight is just one of many examples why this restaurant stands out, and why we will always highly recommend them! Thank you all so much for proving customer service is not a dying art!“

“I had the best 60th birthday lunch with my Mom yesterday. Our food was amazing. My Mom raved about the California burger and sweet potato fries. I loved the beets which are my favorite item on the menu. The birthday dessert was delicious and decadent. Our waiter was awesome! An overall 10+ experience. Thank you!“

“I’ve been coming to Naz’s for a while and it’s usually the only place open after I get off work. The workers are always super nice and the food is definitely worth every penny. It’s very accommodative and you can adjust things just how you like it, plus the fact it’s ethical is a major major plus. I’ll definitely be loyal to Naz’s for a very very long time.“

“Great Ramen! I forgot my biker leather jacket there about a month or so ago and I had got all the way back to my desk at my job when I realized that I left my jacket at Akira Ramen. I raced back there to get my jacket mostly because my car keys were in my pocket. I was panicking because my car was parked in a pay for the day public garage. I when I arrived the staff returned my jacket to me with my car keys in the pocket. Not only is the Ramen Great, the staff was good enough to hold my jacket for me until I returned. Thank you very much for the experience, I will return soon.“

“Stopped by Kona Ice on such a hot spring day and it was absolutely perfect! Their menu has so many amazing flavors and options, there’s seriously something for everyone. The staff was super friendly, fast, and efficient even with a line of people waiting. One of my favorite things was that they even offer pup cups, which made my dog just as excited as I was! Such a fun experience and definitely a must on a warm day!“

“We live right around the corner and drive past this place constantly. We've lived in Parkville for five years and came here for a Bluey brunch sometime last summer with our toddler. We decided to try the actual restaurant part tonight for dinner. The food was outstanding and our waiter was attentive and very friendly. Very lively, festive atmosphere, but my one complaint is, MAN, was it loud in there. My daughter spent the first 10 minutes after we got there holding her ears because it was so noisy. But I guess that's to be expected from one of the most popular local restaurants in town. Will most definitely be back!“

“Real Italian cuisine is served here in ample helpings. Mama's Favorite Caesar salad can be split for two people. It's loaded with soft fresh mozzarella, artichoke, & sundried tomatoes. It's my favorite, too. The lasagna had so much of the wonderful delicate tomato sauce, it was covered. This is the real authentic lasagna of Italy. For a tasty pasta with a kick, the Salmone Al Pesto has a marvelous creamy pesto sauce, & a heaping of small fresh button mushrooms. They say it's only 6 oz. of salmon but the whole plate was covered in large segments of it--it's large enough to take home for a second dinner. Mama had made her own Tiramisu. The delicate sponge soaked with flavor is something not to be missed. Get it when you can. The service from Madison was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable & extremely helpful. This is a wonderful place for authentic Italian meals.“

Dawn took our order, served our order, check on us several times while dining, and finally gave us our check. Most waitress now take your order and give you your check and want a 20% tip.“

“I’ve been coming to Pats for as long as I can remember. About 8 years ago it became a regular thing for my husband and I. We met our favorite server around then and are so grateful to get to continue going back and getting amazing quality service. Heather is an amazing asset to Pats. No matter day or night when she’s on the floor running the dinning room, our dinning experience is A+. Sad to see she’s no longer on tables on Wednesday’s we were so surprised. But that didn’t stop us, we just come on the weekends. We visit on her shifts only so we know we are guaranteed top notch service. She knows the menu front to back, always has any answers to our questions we need and always serves us with a smile and awesome attitude. “On July 25th I ordered 1 doz. Large Steamed Crabs ($95) from Madonna Seafood. Madonna "used" to be the best place for crabs. They were always consistently seasoned well....that was not the case yesterday. This dozen was completely dried out...they were either VERY overcooked or my guess is they were re-cooked. Definitely not worth $95....please retrain your steaming team or you will lose business. i will be going elsewhere.“

“I hosted a corporate dinner party at Boordy last night, and it was my first time being at their facility and getting to experience what they offer. After a miscommunication between myself and the (external) caterer, who was providing food for the event, I was left scrambling to figure out how to accommodate all of my guests in a very short amount of time. Grace and Carly immediately leapt into action and saved the day, no questions asked. They went above and beyond to help out, never once stressing out or making the inconvenience seem like an inconvenience. It was top notch service from both of them all night and extremely appreciated! The wine was wonderful, the space was great and I can't say enough good things about the service. “I went there with 3 of my kids after a soccer tournament. We were greeted and sat immediately. Our waitress Samantha was kind and quick to take our order and anything needed while we ate. Chris ( another worker or perhaps manager there) slipped me a piece of paper asking if it was okay to surprise my kids with ice cream after they ate. I also noticed a special needs woman in the booth next to me who had ordered, then asked a dessert to be removed from her order because she said " she could not afford it". I saw that the staff comped her dessert and treated her with kindess and respect. All around I was impressed with the staff, their caring nature. The food was also great! If we are in the area for a tournament, I will defintely come back.“

We had chicken parmigiana, Caesar salad and rolls that were all amazing but the absolute hit of the party was the Crab Chesapeake Pasta! It was to die for! “We are a local business and we ordered 25 pizzas for a holiday party. Best prices around and the pizza was delicious. Called the day of to confirm 6 pm delivery. 6pm the driver walked in the door. He was incredible nice and helped set up the pizzas. We are a few miles away and it was rush hour. The pizzas were so hot that we had to wait a few for them to cook down. One of the best pizza places that I have purchased from and will definitely order from them again.“
