I visited Hangry Joe’s in Fort Washington recently and was disappointed with the customer service. The young man at the register did not seem very enthusiastic about assisting us. While placing our order, I was confused when one of my family members told me to repeat my order. After we finished ordering, they explained that the employee had been on his phone when we first approached the counter and apparently was not listening the entire time.
I don’t expect exceptional treatment or a red carpet experience when dining out, but I do expect basic attentiveness and professionalism. Customers should not have to repeat their orders because an employee is distracted by their phone. If you’re at work, there should be a focus on serving customers and providing a positive experience. The food may be good, but customer service is just as important and can greatly impact a guest’s overall impression.

10 min wait time for fresh chicken and fries, its very seasoned and spicy. the coleslaw is sweet but adds a nice crunch to the sandwich.

I had a really disappointing experience here today. I went in ready to spend about $40 to feed my family and ordered a 3-piece chicken meal. I simply asked if I could substitute the breast for a thigh (and even offered to pay extra), but was told no substitutions were allowed at all.
I understand places have policies, but this felt unnecessarily rigid for such a simple request—especially since not everyone eats every piece of chicken. Instead of working with me, they just repeated the rule with no flexibility.
Because of that, I ended up leaving and spending my money at another restaurant in the same shopping center.
Customer service and a little flexibility go a long way. Unfortunately, this experience missed the mark.

Sooo Ive been hesitant on trying this restaurant for a while but im SUPER happy I decided to today! We went in and ordered the Buffalo Bleu sandwich and it was by far one of the best Buffalo Chicken sandwiches ive had in a while! It was so good was contemplating on ordering another one lol. Definitely a 10 out of 10!

This place always disappoints me with their rules. They wont let me simply pay extra for what I want. It’s either their way or get out! Luckily they are right next door to another chicken place! Is it too difficult to get my 2 piece dark? NO. Their 2 pieces only come with white meat!! Can I buy an additional piece of chicken? NO.
I used to go here 2 or 3 times a week, but now I have abandoned them because of their stupid rules.

Best chicken spot in the area by far. Super flavorful stays open late and extremely reasonable prices. High quality chicken sandwiches.And despite the name they have chicken that's not spicy. Got a 50 piece wings and two chicken sandwiches. Their chicken sandwhich can give Popeyes a run for their money.
