This was one of the few Italian restaurant options in Frederick, so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, I wasn’t very impressed with the pasta selections or the overall dishes. While the prices weren’t particularly high, the food was just okay and didn’t stand out. It’s not a place I would go back to. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt family-oriented. However, it’s probably not the ideal spot for a date or a more intimate dining experience.

We live in downtown and get carry out a few times a week for all the restaurants. I have ordered from here many times and this will be my last WAY overpriced for the quality of food that you get. Other restaurants in the same price range have far better service and much better quality of food. Not to mention that you can order delivery with no issue but when my driver arrived they were told they don’t except orders from this company so our food was delayed by over 30 minutes. Do yourself a favor a visit the other high end restaurants downtown we’re you get what you pay for quality of food and service!

The food was absolutely delicious! Service was excellent - the manager stops by every table to welcome guests. It's cozy and friendly and a great place for friends' night out or a date night.

We were there for a wedding rehearsal dinner. We had the upper floor to our selves. Trish was our bartender and server, she was absolutely wonderful!! The appetizers, dinner and dessert were all delicious.

I really think if they just made fresh pasta to order, this place would be so, so much better.
Every time I’ve eaten here the food has been overcooked, as if it was previously cold or frozen and they warmed it up for service. I thought it was a one-off last time, but it’s consistently just soft, overcooked pasta with unengaged waitstaff. I’m never going back.
It made me miss real Italian, like Amici’s or Love Pomelo in Baltimore.

We were in Frederick to see the Carroll Creek Lighted Sailboats and stumbled upon Massi through Google—what a perfect find. The moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm.
The restaurant itself feels like an old house converted into a cozy dining space, giving it a relaxed, family-dinner vibe that’s hard to find these days.
The food? Incredible. They had fried calamari on the menu, but we asked if they could grill it instead—and they happily did. It came out perfectly tender and delicious. The linguini with white clam sauce tasted exactly like something an Italian grandma would make—simple, comforting, and deeply authentic. And the Veal Massi with fresh mozzarella? Absolutely out of this world. Rich, flavorful, and unforgettable.
We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend this gem in Frederick!
