The shepherds pie was excellent. We visited for lunch on a Saturday and there was no wait. The atmosphere was comfortable and pleasant. I look forward to visiting Maggo's again.
I have been there a few times. Most importantly, the service is good, and the waitstaff are friendly. I felt welcomed. The prices are reasonable, and the facilities are well-kept. It is certainly one of the better local pubs in town. They also make a decent cocktail. The food left a little to be desired... a group of friends tried a variety of items (crabby fries, pizza, shrimp, I think the fish & chips- some sort of fried fish- and something else I can't recall). Consensus...
Fun place to eat a crab cake sandwich and have a pint of Guinness. Service was great and the owner was kind enough to give us a history of both the pub and her many trips to Ireland.
