This is our go to restaurant! My daughter and I are vegan but my husband is not and we all have so many options here. The staff is friendly, the menu is great, love this place!!
I picked up carry out at Orchard yesterday because a friend told me how much they loved it. We got the coconut shrimp which although very greasy, were pretty good. And the sauce was delicious. We also got the Indonesian stir fry with salmon and Thai stir fry with chicken, both with rice noodles, and they were both fairly flavorless. There were a lot of veggies in each of them (way more than the rice noodles) which may have caused them to be flavorless. The chicken was overcooked and dry and on the edge of inedible but the salmon was fine. We also didn’t realize there was Pad Thai as an entree and probably would have ordered that instead of the Thai stir fry.I was really hoping for a good meal but it was an overall letdown.

I just had some of the freshest food here that I've had in awhile. We had the bonjan borani as an appetizer and it was very flavorful with soft pita. Then we had side salads with the tomato tamari dip; the salad ingredients were fresh and crunchy and the dip was very umami. Then we each had the spicy chicken sandwich (I subbed tofu in for chicken). The coleslaw was great, all the textures worked wonderfully together, the garlic dip it's served with also delicious. Overall the meal was a tad expensive but it really felt worth it. It reminded me of the quality of food you used to get more regularly before the pandemic. This place is treat.

The food was mid overall. I came here with my family and the service and ambiance are amazing! However, the food seems to be hit or miss. The tomato bisque was really salty and the chickpea miso was more sour than I expected, but still good. The honey mustard seafood was great, but there was way too much sauce and the bottoms of my scallops and shrimp were burnt black, in my opinion it shouldn't have been sent out like that, but I never ask the waiter to bring things back to the kitchen. The tuna melt was great along with the crispy chicken and ahi tuna. What really missed the mark was the Thai Grilled Salmon. I have no clue what was trying to be attempted with this dish. It seemed as if the idea behind it got lost in the sauce (literally), the coconut milk caused everything to bland out and it just had a really weird taste. Other than that, the restaurant is great, I just don't recommend the Thai Grilled salmon.

I asked our server for recommendations, which dishes were the most popular, and her response was that everything was good, that's why they're always busy. Not much help there. We decided to both get the Tomato Bisque, which was pretty tasty, but could've benefited from fresh basil, as opposed to the dried basil. The complimentary bread was pretty good. I ordered the chicken and broccoli pasta, which was rather bland and watery. We also got the grilled cheese, also just okay, and a side of the creamy pasta, which was the best thing we tried. Overall the experience wasn't anything special, and I'm unsure why this restaurant is so highly rated.

The Orchard is a must-visit when we are in Frederick! We have been so impressed by the delicious, fresh food, friendly and accommodating staff, and reasonable prices. They have a large menu with many options for those with dietary restrictions. I have celiac disease and have been very impressed with the variety of gluten-free choices. They even have a (to die for!) gluten-free coconut cream pie!Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian (and vegan) options. Many dishes can be modified for dietary restrictions.Dietary restrictions: Numerous gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. The menu is well marked for those with dietary restrictions.Parking: The restaurant is located near several parking garages. The parking rates are very reasonable.

Dining at Orchard Restaurant was a delightful experience that beautifully blended innovative twists with the essence of Thai cuisine. The coconut shrimp appetizer was a divine beginning, setting a high standard that the main dishes, chicken pad Thai and chicken rice noodle entrée, met with ease. Each dish was a harmony of flavors, respectfully nodding to tradition while also offering a refreshing uniqueness. I am thankful for the warm service and the kind staff who made the meal not just delicious, but truly memorable. This inspirational restaurant has earned a heartfelt recommendation from me.
