Hidden gem: just go try for yourself before Washingtonian lists it and you won't be able to secure a table! Best Vietnamese food in Maryland as other stated and great service, clean. Can't expect anything more! We ordered several dishes, but the crispy noodles stood out. Will be back often.

I went around 6 with my husband for dinner. The resturant was filling up, but we got there right up time. Service was kind of slow, but it was worth the wait. I will be back!

Sooooooo good baby couldn’t get enough!! Authentic and best Vietnamese food I’ve had in Maryland and Northern Virginia (this includes falls church). The owner was very nice to come out and greet us and check on us. The employees were very attentive and quick to respond. Small mom and pop stop but great food.

Pho - made with real oxtail (can also order oxtail) so you get real beef stock. Husband loved this dish
Bun Bo Hue - packed with umami flavors so you know they used all the right thing.
Bun thịt nuong - tender pork and perfectly cooked rice noodles. Has all the basics to make this dish so great (fat, acid, and salt)

They go out of their way to make food with real ingredients tastes delicious. Wil definitely be returning.

Even i am french, i got vietnamese origins, lived and work in vietnam for 10 years, quite lazy to cook myself pho as it take very long time to make it, i wanted today a good pho and introduce to my american friend who host me to enjoy and try vietnamese delicacy.

First thing first, i can say : food there is truely authentic, owner is a delightful vietnamese lady, was happy to talk with her a bit in vietnamese even unfortunately i understand more than i speak.

Truely authentic pho but u have to know that pho served is South vietnamese style. my family was from north and pho is a bit different on broth : south style is more sweet. beside this, i feel back to vietnam when i ate there !

The pro :
The pho ! authentic national vietnamse dish, south style. I took pho dac biet , means special, u will get a bit of all meat topings from other pho style

banh mi was good, even not the best i got, but good enough

hot coffe milk , vietnamese style with sweet condensed milk

NO MSG !! in vietnam its difficult to find pho without msg, no MSG means more bones, more meat and more time to cook the broth to got the same taste. so a big hat off for onwerto make this effort and cook pho the way i will do it myself for my own family :)

The cons : honnestly not so much cons, a few word as i am really picky for food

the pho dac biet misses 2 topping i usually got : beef tendon and beef stomach, wich might be too extreme or weird or not easy to find in usa

banh mi should have beem enhanced to perfection to my taste with good crispy crunchy traditionnal french baguette.

for the hot coffee, miss the little metal device that vietnamese served on top of the coffe cup where the coffe will flow slowly in cup , just to have the authentic vietnamese milk coffee experience :)

Tested and approved,if i had time, i will go back to try different kind of soup : bun bo hue

We've been coming here since they opened. It's our go to spot for the best pho around. I would highly recommend a large P13 (Pho w/ steak + brisket) and side of veggies (broccoli, baby bok choy, and carrots) to add to your soup. Service is great and always friendly.

Staff was so friendly and attentive. The pho was very delicious. The broth was so flavorful! I tried some of their in house chili oil, very spicy but a few drops in the pho was great. Also ordered the spring rolls which were huge and delicious. Definitely coming back

Great food, very authentic. We had the pho tai and it was some of the best we’ve had — and we eat pho wherever we go. Highly recommend.

I’ve been eating pho from here since they opened a year ago. Hands down the chef has the best broth I’ve encountered yet. She clearly cooks with passion and love. It tastes like perfection. A small pho tai (rare steak cooked in a delicious beefy broth with noodles and fixings) and summer rolls are my go to order. Doesn’t matter if it’s dine-in, takeout or delivery, it’s the best. I’ve yet to be disappointed. 10/10 best pho in Frederick if not Maryland.
