Sorry folks for this poor review on what might be a local/regional favorite.Rita’s is overrated, overpriced and barely better than any $2 fast food ice cream. Nothing Italian about it except the price.Plus this location had little seating (4 seats).Sorry, would recommend trying out one of the other ice cream places around.

Very near home, s e vice was great and section good. The parking was hard to find. Only four seats, no place to set outside and it looks like you have to walk around the building to go in the street door.

I was exited at the beginning to get a new Rita's near Urbana. But I can already tell the manager is starting to get cheap. 2nd noticed. Here we go with the pettyAmounts of custard micro management. I'm not greety but I just rather continue to traveled to West south st. Where they follow Rita's menu correctly. Is that a tspn of custard in the bottom?weird.

I visited this new location of Rita's. There was no line so we got our gelati's quickly; however, they have an outdoor walk up window to make service quickly in the summer when there are long lines. Parking is a little confusing as all the spots say reserved and appear to be for the live work units but I didn't have any trouble since we were there quickly. The cashier (also possibly the owner) was very friendly...however the small cup did appear significantly smaller than the other frederick Rita's locations. Overall a good experience and delicious Italian ice per usual!

My first disappointing experience at a Rita's. The vibes were off, the inside was way too small, and they were out of almost every flavor. I got a large gelati and they were incredibly stingy with the custard. There was no custard on the bottom and they put the smallest little dab on top. Worst of all my girlfriend ordered custard in a cone with rainbow sprinkles and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw on the payment tablet that adding sprinkles to your custard costs $1.50 extra! I'll give them a little bit of a break because this is a new location but overall I was really disappointed and don't see myself coming back anytime soon.

Rita's in Urbana is a new location, and this is a nice location with lots of parking. It also has a little seating area with four bar stools for indoor dining in. The neat thing about this specific location is that there is an outdoor and indoor ordering window. The service was quick, friendly, and efficient. The ambiance is casual and clean. We love the different Italian ice flavors like cotton candy, gummy bear, peach, strawberry and more. Definitely worth checking out this Rita's location.
