Royal Tandoor Indian Cuisine and Buddha Lounge

I tried there lunch buffet today. All the dishes were delicious. Met with chef, wanted to thank him. He knows his job and put perfect blend of spices in the dishes. Bringing some friends there on Sunday. Highly recommend ?

So we generally go to Rangoli's in the Anne Arundel preserve, but we won't have to make that hike anymore after finding this great Indian cuisine nestled downtown Frederick, in walking distance to most everything. From our tag team of waiters Sahib and Melissa, who were superb, never let our glasses stay empty. Sahib was very attentive and also helped with how to pair our dishes to get the most out of our meal. He was very knowledgeable, great smile and so pleasant. We watched as he was just as attentive with the other guests, great touch! The hostess Mary also came back outside to check on us to see how we were doing, very warm and friendly. The cod and eggplant was on point, so flavorful. We had medium spice level, so that was great to be able to enjoy our food without it being overpowering. Great for vegans and vegetarians alike as they cook with Ghee, that's a plus for me. You can tell the chef Josche pays attention to detail. We're told everything is made to order and the meats are sourced from local farmers, love that! Check this place out for yourselves, it will not disappoint. I have to mention the manager Marcus, what a stand up guy. Can I say OCD, I mean he was picking up trash and debris along the way as he checked up on us, just keeping the place in order. He also added an extra special touch to our already great experience. Great staff, great atmosphere, great food. We didn't just have dinner, we had a dinning experience! Marcus, I'm waiting for the jazz band outside ?

This place is fantastic! I came here intending to take a lovely photo of my meal for this review but the only thing I got is the aftermath because as soon as that plate hit the table…. I blacked out and came to with an empty plate and the remnants of goat curry on my fingers and face.#SorryNotSorryStaff were exceptionally attentive and hilarious, atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed, drinks were good, and the location is fantastic. Definitely my new favorite Indian place in Frederick and I can’t wait to come back and try something new.

Just wow. We had the BEST experience here. Our waitress, other wait staff, AND the GM treated us like VIPs. Helpful and genuine. The food was seriously top notch. every bit of my tastebuds were accessed. The herbs and spices were the most flavorful Indian cuisine I have ever had. I can't wait to travel back through and have this again!

I came here for the first time last night. The food was amazing and the servers were extremely kind. I highly recommend! I wish I could give them 10 stars. :)

Probably the absolute best Indian restaurant in Frederick, in terms of its menu, its ambiance, and it’s delicious and vibrant dishes that are authentically spiced and complex. (Unlike most other local Indian restaurants that “Americanize” their dishes resulting in bland and flavorless food)I loved the Vegetable Pakora and the Royal Patties as appetizers. The Salmon Tikka and their Dal was also delicious!They have a great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, too!I really liked the ambiance of the front dining room and bar area, and they have a good selection of liquors, mixed drinks, and wines, all at very reasonable prices.I only gave them 4 stars because of their poor service. I think that, since they are fairly new, they are still figuring it out. Our service was slow and our server was way too busy to be attentive enough. I’m hoping that will improve with time. We will definitely return here again to enjoy the amazing food and drinks!

Downtown Frederick has needed a really good Indian restaurant for quite a while, and at last it is here! We enjoyed the buffet lunch and were quite impressed. Our server, Heather, was happy to answer questions about the food, and made sure our drinks were refreshed before we even asked. We asked her about the availability of alcohol-free beers and she said there were none, but came back about ten minutes later and said she had spoken to the manager about adding them to the menu. The food was awesome (highly recommend the goat curry!), and Heather told us the selections change from day to day. We can't wait to go back!

This place is amazing and I loved the buffet and food selection. From the beautiful decor and atmosphere, pleasant staff and manager, to the delicious food…this is definitely a place to check out! I will surely be back.

This place is AMAZING! First of all, the employees including manager was so attentive and very nice. The food was to die for! So flavorful and definitely leaving me wanting to lick the plate haha. HIGHLY HIGHLY suggest going and go hungry because you're going to want everything on the menu.
