My wife and I visited this restaurant for Valentine’s Day. There’s meter parking on the street and garage parking available. Our table was ready when we arrived. For appetizers, we ordered chicken empanadas and Tostones rellenos. As for our entrees, we had Pernil with white rice, black beans, and tostones, and Masitas de Puerco with the same sides. For dessert, we indulged in Flan de coco and Tres leche cake. The food was absolutely delicious. The chicken and pork were perfectly seasoned and tender. We’ll definitely be returning to this restaurant soon.

This is a small restaurant which makes it cozy and perfect for a date night. The staff is friendly. You can make reservations but they are necessary. The food is delicious. The have tried a few different items and they have all been good. Drinks are good too. Prices are also reasonable.

All four of us who ate there with 3 different dishes thought the food was bland ad not very exciting but seemed typical Cuban fare. The waitress was ver attentive and helpful

We love coming to Sabor De Cuba and have been coming here for three years regularly. We have a favorite server who happens to now be the manager. She is absolutely amazing. But The server/bartender Tyler has no business working in the service industry. When everyone else was with tables and he was doing absolutely nothing except sitting or walking around aimlessly. Passed our table multiple times did not even offer water or to help at least get drinks started. My partner is the head Chef at The Red Horse Steakhouse in Frederick and I am a server/bartender. We work as a team and nothing about Tyler is beneficial to Sabor De Cuba. This is the third time he has basically ignored us.

Sabor de Cuba has been our favorite restaurant in Frederick for many years. We live about 50 miles away now, but still make it a point to go at least a 2-3 times a year. Their food and service is consistently great. The sizzling shrimp appetizer is a favorite we always get and we've never been disappointed with any of the entrees or specials. You can't go wrong here.

Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants! We drive up to Frederick just for this place. My favorite dish is the Bistec de Palomilla.

I was really looking forward to a great Cuban meal, but unfortunately, this restaurant missed the mark completely. The food was well below average and lacked the authentic seasoning and soul you expect from Cuban cuisine.
The Food:
Vaca Frita: This was the biggest disappointment. The beef was incredibly dry and tough, making it very difficult to even chew, let alone enjoy.
Beef Picadillo: This dish was incredibly bland. It had no depth of flavor and seemed like it was missing the key spices and aromatics (like olives, capers, or a good sofrito) that make picadillo special.
Overall:
It didn't taste anything like real Cuban food. Between the poor texture of the meat and the lack of flavor across the board, I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a quality meal. Save your money and look elsewhere for authentic flavors.

I ate there today and it was wonderful! I am gluten free and they worked with me and pointed out meals that they could make gluten free for me!

I really wanted for this restaurant to succeed. It's the only Cuban restaurant in this area but the food is not fresh, the restaurant looks dingy and unclean. The mojitos are not authentic and for the price it's not worth it .

Stopped for a quick lunch while passing through Frederick. Had a tappas-like meal from appetizers which were all delicious, and the guava and cheese empanada dessert was fantastic. Service was prompt and friendly and they were even able to help out with some change for the parking meter.

First time here... the food was juat okay. It's missing that cuban flare. It was pretty tasteless, the food needed some flavor. Black beans tasted like can beans ..its cool to use cam beans..but add some spices... the beef empanadas had to be drenched in the hot sauce and you only get 2 for $9.00. The Chuletas...no flavor... if not for the onions. It just would have been a couple of extra thin porkchops with no seasonings. The same for the Bistec. I dont think we will revisit Sabor de Cuba in the future. But hey we tried it..didnt like it ...just my own opinion..others may feel different.

Absolutely delicious food, very reasonable prices. Only weird moment was when they came by to give us last call and we'd been waiting 20ish minutes for them to bring by our check.
