I try this place yesterday
The place and the services are good
But I was waiting for something better
The empanada taste like grocery flour, they tostones were burn , the canasticas of tostones the same just burn
The only good food was the jam croquetas and the beef …
Is not about price is about the food
Can be better , just have to do some changes in the way the they cook and service it to the people
Thank you

My wife is Cuban so we have eaten lots of authentic Cuban food either at home or out in Miami. I had pernil which was delicious. The portion is large and could easily feed 2 people. My wife had fried fish which was heavily battered and a bit dry. I would suggest maybe grilled next time. The beef empanadas were very good and adding the sauce made them extremely good. We also had flan with coconut and a cortadito coffee; both very good. Service was adequate but a little inattentive at the end getting check. Overall, we would return.

Sightseeing in historic Frederick opted to have a Cuban late lunch. Chose to outdoor seating on account of a furry companion due to indoor restrictions. We ordered shrimp plate which was quite generous with plump shrimp, flat skirt steak tender and flavorful topped with chimic hurri, mastita de puerco-a plate of deeply fried marinated chunky pork pieces with white rice, plantains andblack beans, hefty and filling and lastly arroz pollo like a cuban version of chicken biryani but milder and nicely seasoned rice. Service was attentive. A bit disappointing patio seating-limited space and inadequate shading from harsh summer afternoon sunshine and water bowl for pet needing some washing and fresh water.

We ordered through Uber Eats. The delivery was quick and the order was hot. We ordered the chicken empanadas and they were very good. The green sauce that came with was delicious! Their fried yucca are really good as well. It’s the entrees that were underwhelming. The arroz con pollo and the fried pork were lacking. The chicken was bland and the pork had more fat than meat. The similar pork dish at Plaza Mexico is much better.
Used to be good. Our last visit left us wanting to never come back. It is extremely dirty, grime, cobwebs, and dust everywhere. Regular sides that come with meals have also been cut since our last visit. Ordered ceviche and when it came out, I asked if they had chips they serve with it. The sever pointed to the 1 tostones on the side of the bowl to use. Our ropa vieja was dry and unseasoned. Very sad that they've let their quality drop over the past year.

Came here with a friend on a beautiful day. Were hoping to sit outside but there was no space, so next to front window sufficed. We came on a school holiday, so our host was a kid- very good at his job! Friendly, appeased our seating request, and importantly, spoke Spanish.
Waitress also spoke Spanish, thank goodness. We ordered a cubano sandwich and a pan con bistec. Both were well served portions and were delicious. The pan con bistec was a tiny bit dry, so ordered sides of mayo and mustard and that did the trick. We shred a side of yuca frita (the only way I eat my yuca) and it was heavenly. The food was delicious!
Atmosphere and cleanliness: It's a hole in the wall place and that's what we were in for. What I didn't like is that there were a bunch of flies around us at our table. Maybe it's because we were near a window on a sunny day, but that makes you question the cleanliness of a restaurant. The rest of the place seemed a bit dark- some strategic lighting would work wonders in the long narrow dining area. The music was on point!
Parking: Came here on a holiday and easily found street parking right in front of the place. Normally you pay to park, but it was free for us because of the holiday!

Our server, Josefina, was polite and vert prompt. She was happy and quick to refresh our drinks.
We enjoyed pernill, sweet plantains, and masitas de puerco.

Great for and great customer service. Try the Cuban coffee after your meal and if you like garlic try the bread appetizer with the garlic spread. The sizzling shrimp was also delicious. Definitely going back! Oh and don't forget the flan de leche!

The food was amazing in taste and in amount. I have a big appetite but got 2 additional meals out of my to go box. Shame we were only passing through town or this would be a regular place for us.
