“My family and I love The Freeze! Our dogs do as well! Great ice cream with so many choices, and even better food! I love how they hire high school kids and give them a chance to get some work experience under their belts. It has been that way since I was in school and I think that is awesome to have a place of business that does that in our small town!“
“My husband and I are staying at Savage River Lodge, and wanted to try some of the local foods. We ended up on deciding with this restaurant, and it was some of the best food I've had! We got the Raging Rooster, Steak fried Wedgie, chicken wings with the Spicy Ranch sauce, the sweet and Sassy fries, and some tenders. Everything was on point, and made our day. Unfortunately he didn't catch the name of the woman who helped him with the order, but he said she was beyond friendly and happy. We can't wait to go again next time we are here!“
“After riding the WMR from Cumberland to Frostburg, we had a little more than an hour before our return. We chose to pop into the Princess Restaurant for a late lunch. Our waitress Sam was personable and attentive. My husband ordered the Princess burger with fries and gravy. I had a Reuben with fries. Both were tasty. Listening to the banter of the employees made us chuckle. The decor was definitely retro diner. I was disappointed that the table jukes were out of order. Make sure you try some of the peanut butter and coconut cream eggs. Yum!“
“This place is outstanding!! The portions are giant (I only got a small, my friend got a kiddie and it was still pretty big) and the ice cream itself is amazing. I love trying their specialty flavors; a year ago when I went it was peach, and when I went most recently it was cotton candy. Both were delicious.“
“This place is the best place to eat breakfast from Cumberland to Frostburg. Cozy, clean, and the food tastes like your favorite Aunt's cooking (the one who is the really good cook). The service was great and they sell local honey, eggs, their own cheese and - coming soon - grass fed beef. Our breakfast wrap and sandwiches were excellent. Even the yogurt parfait is delicious. This is the place for great food in a cozy and great atmosphere.“
