We enjoy eating out. Last night we went to this excellent place which friends told us about. We enjoyed a delightful time there with first-rate dishes and an efficient team and an impressive chief cook. We added this restaurant in our list and we will no doubt go again very soon. We highly recommend.

As fans of spicy Chinese, Indian and Fusion food, my family members are regulars of spicy food. Today, I placed an order, which included entrees which are normally spicy. But, I never made any request for extra spicy. When we arrived home with the order, the aforementioned entrees were so blisteringly spicy that they were completely intolerable and inedible. I called the restaurant, and spoke to an individual possessing no customer service skills. He spoke with a skeptical and rude tone, made excuses, and only gave a curt and insincere apology at the end of our conversation. There was no offer to substitute the food or rectify the situation.

We love this place! Just discovered it a couple of weeks ago and we've been twice now! Curbside service is great- you even get a notice when your order is ready. The dumplings are great!! Lots of options and my wife who has to eat gluten free LOVES their gluten free dumplings. Can't wait to more varieties! You gotta check this place out!

Love it! Good, fresh food with flavors that are so good you won't want to brush your teeth for awhile. Service is good, too...friendly staff. Update...still enjoying every morsel when I can...I wish they delivered to Olney! My friend loves the Basil Chicken and the Firecracker Shrimp, and I love the red chicken curry. We would go for a hike around Lake Seneca then go here for our own favorite dish. I long for the "pre-covid" days... I hope this family owned place makes it through these tough times. Please give them a try...you'll be hooked!

Food is so delicious. Our favorites are the Straits Fried Rice and Coconut Shrimp and all the dumplings are soooo good.

This was our first time going to Batik after seeing it promoted on @themocoshow on Instagram, and it did not disappoint. The service was great, we took a walk before picking up the food and Henry came out before we reached corner and handed it to us. The food was great, I'm not a big fan of papaya and was surprised at how well it worked in the Thai Way Shrimp. Will definitely return!! :)

This is a picture of how much of the pineapple fried rice I ate, and Thai iced tea I drank. There was so much salt dumped in the rice that I just couldn't settle. It was inedible. And how did you get away with making Thai iced tea actually unsweetened? I've gotten them here before and while they always taste like a new recipe, at least they're consistently sweet. There is no reason for you not to taste the food and drinks you pump out. These should have never made it out of your kitchen.I also ordered using the website's online ordering service, and it required my phone number so that I apparently could get updates on the status of my order. I showed up 25 minutes earlier than the given pick up time and my food was sitting pretty on the counter. I didn't even get a message stating that my food was ready.Batik, I hope my 20 dollars were worth it. You've completely given up.The empty food containers are from Thai Express, across the street. Shout out to Thai Express for saving the night.

Disappointed. Website and front door has the following message."Batik Dumpling Bar at 200 Main St, Gaithersburg MD is closed and under construction until further notice."

Cute and affordable Asian fusion meal in kentlands! I loveeee dumplings so of course I had to give this spot a try! This place is unique. They add a little twist to some of the dishes to make it there own. I asked our waitress to help me pick out which dumplings to get and so I ended up getting the thai way and the cha cha chives. They were in the shape of a triangle! Never had dumplings like that before but they tasted wonderful. These aren't traditional Chinese dumplings, they're unique and flavorful and they also came with their own sauces. Yes, each different dumpling flavor you order also was paired with its unique sauce! We also got a pork skewer which was delicious! And we ordered lumpia and I was a bit caught off guard because it's not authentic lumpia. It was more like the Chinese cabbage style egg roll rather than pork filled. Needless to say, I still enjoyed it. The four items came out to $59. Not too shabby. Also, came here 30 mins before closing time, so we were in a hurry to order before the kitchen closed. Our waitress was kind enough to make sure we got our orders in. I feel like I need to go back to really be able to peruse the menu and try more items! I wouldn't say it's my absolute favorite Asian food spot because it doesn't feel too authentic but I would definitely still be down to go back because I did enjoy the food! I appreciate the creativity in the meals.
