The food tastes good, but sometimes it's too salty, like yesterday the ceviche had so much salt you could see it at the bottom of the plate.
The service surprises me more and more each time. A couple of weeks ago we went to eat, they seated us and took our order, and a few moments later a group of about 8 people arrived. The waitress told us she was going to move us to another table, she took our silverware and the complimentary corn nuts to the other table and seated the...read full review

AZU Peruvian Cuisine offers a delightful dining experience with its simple yet delicious Peruvian fare. The waitstaff is attentive and helpful, providing excellent recommendations. The food more than makes up for the plain setting. The shrimp, served head-on, tastes like it was taken fresh from the ocean, and the mixed fried seafood meal is well above average. The fried rice (chaufa) is exceptional, with hints of herbs throughout, and the ceviche is excellent. Guests can enjoy a complex and fascinating soup with multiple parts and optional spice levels, offering a delicious blend of different tastes. The chocolate cake, though not a typical Peruvian dessert, is also delicious. While the seco (beef) was less impressive, overall the dishes are spectacular, and the presentation is very good. Service is great, and the restaurant offers a lunch special: two courses for $15, which is an amazing value considering the quality of the food. The food was tasty, with great flavor and portion size. The service was excellent; guests received helpful recommendations and their server was charming and hard working. As a Peruvian, this is by far the best Peruvian restaurant in the DMV. The trio marino was so good, the leche de tigre tasted so authentic, it felt like being in Peru. The service is also outstanding, servers are very attentive and always in great spirits. This Peruvian food is the best in the DMV. Homemade Peruvian food made with love. Fish melts in your mouth and beef stew meat just fell right off the bone.
