AZU Peruvian Cuisine offers a delightful dining experience with its simple yet delicious Peruvian fare. The waitstaff is attentive and helpful, providing excellent recommendations such as the grilled octopus and fresh ceviche. The restaurant is located in a hidden strip mall, with just a couple of unremarkable tables and little ambiance, but the food more than makes up for the plain setting. The shrimp, served head-on, tastes like it was taken fresh from the ocean, and the mixed fried seafood meal is well above average. The fried rice (chaufa) is exceptional, with hints of herbs throughout, and the ceviche is excellent. Guests can enjoy a complex and fascinating soup with multiple parts and optional spice levels, offering a delicious blend of different tastes. The chocolate cake, though not a typical Peruvian dessert, is also delicious. While the seco (beef) was less impressive, overall the dishes are spectacular, and the presentation is very good. Service is great, and the restaurant offers a lunch special: two courses for $15, which is an amazing value considering the quality of the food. Although slightly pricier, the generous portions and high-quality ingredients make it a worthwhile visit.
