This place is as "Italian" as Papa Johns.... meaning, not Italian at all.The bread they brought us tasted like stale white bread you can buy at Safeway. Same with the pasta. The main course, the Veal, was overcooked and tough. The white sauce on top of the veal was so buttery and fat....did not taste good.

Great place. Newly refurbished new owners. Great value. Delicious entrees. Afraid to rave too much-don't want this place too crowded because we would have to wait for a table...!

Under new ownership. Food is sorta bland, could se some spices and garlic.

I grew up eating here as a child with my family it is somewhere that is very familiar to me. They switched locations and I haven't gone back since. But I will be there soon and when I do go, I hope it's as wonderful of an experience as it was when I was a child. It will definitely remind me of my childhood so the nostalgia will be there. I miss the pizza and lasagna. To me it was the best Italian food and best pizza in the area growing up I hope it still is.
We have been going to Italian Pines for over 20 years both here and the previous location near Lake Forest Mall. We love the food and the people, many of whom have been with the restaurant for many years. Our favorites are the chicken piccata, chicken cacciatore, fra diavoloi, the salads and especially the white pizza.

Excellent food and extraordinary service.

This is a great solid neighborhood Italian restaurant. It is a small family run operation. I recommend the pizza and anything off the specials board when you come in. I usually stop in a few times a month and they are pretty consistent.

Definitely had the good feel of a neighborhood restaurant. Grilled salmon (with a side of spaghetti) was excellent. The dining room was simple and welcoming. Service was attentive.
