We were looking for an open Sushi place a Tuesday evening and came across Kara Kibachi. Humble from the outside but don’t let it fool you. Super fresh and delicious sushi was made for us on the spot (no pre-made and refrigerated meal). We tried two simple rolls and also their Tokyo Love and Super Crunchy Roll. The ingredients were fresh and everything tasted great. Very decently priced and worth the trip to Gaithersburg.
the sushi is really good especially for the price. i got the shrimp tempura and salmon cucumber for 8 dollars with the lunch deal. the boba here is also really good and the store also sells fun snacks and beverages inside. this is my go-to sushi place.

Service and food came quickly. The popcorn chicken and edamame were great appetizers and the chicken hibachi was delicious. I ordered spicy yellowtail, spicy salmon and shrimp tempura. The tempura was more batter than shrimp and I'd probably orde different rolls next times. Love that they have snacks on the side you can buy. Overall it was a good place for lunch.
