I had the trio ceviche,l de pescado,paella&jalea... It was very good. I will be back to try other items in the menu. And I like dining in for the little toasted pine nuts looking things they offer with the sauce?? tasty!

@chickenbar.gburg they have delicious food. Vilma the owner is always on the top supervising every detail she has the best smile and likes to spoil her customers. They have a variety of musical shows and karaoke. Great place to eat, have fun, and dance. You must go.

My bf and I wanted to try Peruvian food and found this place. Unfortunately our experience did not meet any of our expectationsFrom the service (our server) could not communicate well enough with us which was a bit of a problem for us because we were new, next thing was the food. I had the Lomo Saltado and my partner had the Pan con Chiccharron, from our experience with eating chiccharron it’s supposed to be cripsy pork skin, that was not what we received. We also searched the food it self and it was described as “ crisp fried pork with fried slices of sweet potato and a type of quick-pickled onion condiment called salsa criolla in soft bread rolls” it was not worth the price which was $14 dollars the whole thing was Blunt no flavor unless you dip in on the sauces/condiments they offered before the meal same goes with the Lomo Saltado ($21) I was limited with the meat (containing 4-5 slices) with soo much fries(would not consider eating) I finished the meat before the rice it was that limited, they put a lot of sauce which didn’t even it out.It was pretty disappointing to end our night with the food, service as well as the price.

We order appetizers papá rellena and tamales and for main plates lomo saltado and trucha frita .Server didn't even say hi ,them we were waiting for the appetizer, but they brought the main plates first and after a while the appetizers ,which the papá rellena is flour, not made of potato flour, them tamales super dry and it's no even a tamal ,them the lomo saltado was super salty and only 5 pieces of meat ,trucha frita was all right. As a Peruvian I feel offended how they make the food and also the server should be more nice and respectful.Do not come to this restaurant if you wanna have a bad experience.

Today I bought a chicken with three sides. But the chicken was dry, it looked like yesterday's Hera chicken. Horrible is my first and last time Ai.

This is a quality Peruvian restaurant in downtown Gaithersburg. The food is authentic Peruvian cuisine & is excellent. The Lomo Saltado is especially good and priced below numerous competitors. The place feels quaint & suitable for couples, singles, or families. Interestingly, the restaurant changed its original name to "Chicken Bar." For chicken, this remains apropos, but as a bar, they are woefully remiss on the lack of beer selection. In a day & age of microbrews & craft beers, they have missed the boat. Aside from meager beer selection, 100% satisfied. Highly recommend.

With the prices of peruvian food being as high as it is. This place is worth it. I can't say much about delivery, but dine-in was always a pleasure for the times I visited. ?
