I’ve ordered from Thai Express many times, but I’ve never left them a review until now. This restaurant is truly excellent, the food is clean, flavorful, and free from MSG. I’ve tried other Thai restaurants before, and the MSG made me feel sick and gave me a burning throat. Thai Express is the only place that tastes just like home cooked Thai food. Highly recommended!

One of the best Thai restaurants I have been too! Lots of vegetarian friendly options, best taste. This is our go to Thai restaurant. Must try if you are in the area and craving for Thai food 🍲!

I had drunken noodles which is what I get when trying a new spot. The meat tasted reheated and the sparse veggies were sloppily chopped. I was really hungry but it was so unappealing that I threw it out. I'm now making a meal at home

this food is a 10/10 every time i strongly recommend. I always get the drunken noodle spicy and they make it just right and perfectly spicy. My aunt recently tried the Pad See Ew and she too rates it a 10/10. She says it was tasteteeee and the spice was just right. Extra delicious. they're also so sweet and quick.

I’ve been searching for authentic Khao Soi Gai (Chiang Mai-style curry noodles with chicken) ever since I moved to Maryland and Thai Express completely blew me away. The broth was rich, aromatic, and perfectly creamy, with just the right touch of coconut milk and spices. It wasn’t overpowering, but layered and deep in flavor exactly how it should be.

The chicken was tender and infused with the curry. The crispy noodles on top added the perfect crunch, and the side garnishes red onions, elevated every bite. I could honestly close my eyes and feel like I was sitting at a market in Chiang Mai.

This dish is not just food, it’s an experience. If you’re looking for a comforting, soulful meal that brings the north of Thailand to your table, this is it.

I’ve been to many Thai restaurants in the DMV area, but I must say , Thai Express Restaurant in Gaithersburg always hits the spot when it comes to authentic Thai flavors. Today, I ordered the Broccoli Lover with Beef and Pad Woon Sen, and once again, I was impressed by the flavors that brought me straight back to Thailand.

The Broccoli Lover with Beef was not only beautifully cooked tender beef slices paired with crunchy, fresh broccoli but the sauce was absolutely on point. It had that signature Thai balance: savory, slightly sweet, and full of umami. You can tell they use quality ingredients and cook with real care.

As for the Pad Woon Sen, it was the best I’ve had in a long time. The glass noodles were perfectly chewy and well-seasoned, not oily at all, and the vegetables were fresh and crisp. Every bite felt like a warm hug from home.

What I love most about Thai Express is that the food here isn’t toned down. It’s bold. It’s flavorful. It’s real Thai. You can taste the difference.
