We went to Stan and Joe’s Riverside yesterday for an off season lunch. We found that the food was exceptional. I mean really good, good enough to make the drive and I would probably want to go back again soon. The waiter, and the bar tender and the manager all sat and talked with us, made us feel all the warm and fuzzys. Really was a nice experience and way to spend the afternoon on the waterfront .

I often visit Galesville, and my favorite place for a romantic dinner on the water is Stan & Joe's Riverside.Great food & drinks, amazing water views, wonderful staff, and great live music.Motorcycle parking a plus!Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking up front but a 150' pier to get to the restaurant.

The oysters on the half shell were huge! Everything we had was just over the top great. My husband had the salad & crab soup & I had the chicken finger & onion rings. So good.Kid-friendliness: Just a cool family restaurant

Wonderful afternoon! The fresh oysters, shrimp and crab dip was so delicious. Our waitresses was amazing and so nice to us. We loved every moment with you all, a memorable day on the West River with my family. Thank you!
It hurts me to leave this review but maybe it will help them. I don't know but I hope so... So first, the good-great... THE CRABS!!! They only do licks so they don't have crabs year round but when they do... they're some of the best. This is actually my go to for crabs if I don't eat at home. They're always heavy, cooked to perfection and priced well. The service is always top tier. Customer service and all is great. Zero complaints about the staff at all. This is also a great place on the water and they always have live music which is good. They also have plenty of parking usually as well. Now the bad... SORRY. But the fried coconut shrimp and fish and chips are horrible. It really is some probably restaurant depot stuff that they just fry up. Of course the fries and puppies are the same but how bad can those be anyway? The coke slaw is good as is the steamed shrimp. Basically anything outside of the crabs is just mid. Sorry but it's true. I'll always come here for crabs, steamed shrimp, pups, fries and slaw but outside of that... sorry.

I called at 3:51pm on a Saturday, my husband has covid and I asked if I could pick up take out, she said yes but that there were no menus online. I asked if she could email me one, she said, “No, and I really don’t know what to do in this situation”. I asked her if she could ask her boss, she agreed to ask, put me on hold and came back to tell me “we are just really too busy to help you right now”.

I lived in Galesville many years ago and I love going back there for its lovely and seemingly unchanged atmosphere. I really like to go to Stan and Joe's Riverside in Galesville for the food and the view of the West River. Don't miss Lobster Thursdays there. Delicious and reasonable food.
I really like this place on the water! The well mannered staff were not only quite friendly and very helpful without being pushy, but the prices seemed reasonable given the fine quality of the dishes we were served and the comfortable atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable.
