I must admit I'm still kicking myself for not dining here before now!!! I have known about the Imperial for many years but just never stopped in. It's a very well established Chinese restaurant in the north end of Hagerstown, Md. It sets back from the road a bit but is very easy to find. There's a big yellow sign out on Pennsylvania avenue. Remember, this was my first time there, but it certainly will not be my last!!! As soon as I entered, I was greeted warmly...

Today was my first time trying food from this restaurant. I ordered sesame chicken with fried rice as takeout. The sesame chicken was a bit disappointing. The way this restaurant serves it is different from other Chinese food restaurants. It was a bit disappointing because of it being too crispy and hard to eat. At most Chinese restaurants it's usually better for me to eat that. The fried rice was good. I would have probably ordered general tso chicken if I like spicy foods...

This Chinese Restaurant was a great place to eat. Warm friendly atmosphere. Great service. Great food. Portions were generous. The cook came out and was talking to us. He has there for 25 years. Try it you will not be disappointed
