On thursday, I was having tea at a nearby coffee place with a friend who wanted to go to that place specifically. I realized I needed something more substantive so I googled a place nearby. That's how I came across Between the Bread.The greeting was very warm, welcoming, and friendly. They told me about their place. I had the 3 layered seafood on sourdough and some potato salad. They have a lovely array of desserts. I wish that I had went ahead and gotten a slice of the carrot cake.Be sure to visit them and see what they have to offer that you might like.

Waited almost 30 minutes for single Reuben sandwich. The sandwich itself was mediocre. It didn't have Swiss cheese (or any cheese) and the bread was kind of soggy. Cole slaw was excellent. Can't say I'll be back.

Toni and John were the best welcoming us on our first visit and accommodating us due to our allergy. They gave us samples to taste and throughly went over the menu. We ordered the Hyattsville Stack which was delicious! They have a great selection of dessert that is made by Toni herself! We had the pudding that was made just an hour before and it was the best. We will be back to try more!

Picture this: You walk into an establishment and you’re immediately greeted with a smile from each person working. You speak back and say I’m so glad you’re open today. They laugh and say, “Everyone has said that today.” The owner goes on to tell me that they had two big catering jobs on Friday and Saturday, which was why they were closed to the public when I popped up. As we converse, she hands me a sample of her triple lemon pound cake. We continue to talk as I peruse the menu, and she hands me a sample of her caramel croissant bread pudding. She smiles and tells me, “We feed you here, you might be full before you get your food.”I placed my order for a chicken salad sandwich w/ potato salad, bread pudding, and peach cobbler, and the fruit infused Arnold Palmer to go. As she prepares my order, we continue talking, and she gives me a sample of the the bad for her potato broccoli soup, chicken salad, shrimp salad, and the salmon she’d be using to make her salmon salad.Listen….??EVERYTHING??IS??GOOD!!!The owner told me her name, and after sharing a laugh at the fact that we share the same name, I told her that she had just gotten herself a returning customer.Great food. Great atmosphere. Great customer service. #MyNewFavoriteSpotIt was great meeting you all Ms. Toni; I’ll see you all again soon!

Loved the turkey chilli. Fabulous hospitality, felt like home. Just a small seating area so recommend coming for takeout. Fairly new to the area (less than a year open). Would def come again for lunch. Best of luck with the biz!
Easily the best Reuben I've ever had, AND the owner offered up complimentary rum cake and lemon cake slices, which were both the best versions of THOSE I've had. Don't tell my grandma, but do tell everyone about this place. And do plan to stay and chat a while, it's that kind of atmosphere.
