We were visiting the area for our anniversary and stopped here bc it had good ratings. At first our server Tim seemed promising when he just got our order and drinks.... and then never came back. I watched him circle the restaurant 3 times (chit chatting, laughing, and just walking around) after waiting for him to come back so we could get more drinks. I noticed he wasn't only neglecting us, but also the rest of his section (about 3 tables next to us needed help and drinks) When I went up to ask for 2 drinks for my husband and I (bc I knew it would be a decade before we got a refill) he's just up at the service window talking and having a good time while he was counting up his money from the day... bc he was more focused on leaving on time than serving his section. And what confirmed this was him coming to our table with his coworker Dominque, and letting us know he had to leave for the night and that Dominique would be taking over. I get everyone wants to go home on time, I've been there. But I've made sure all of my guests were good until I walked out. Dominique really saved the ending. He was polite and attentive for the last 10 minutes of our meal. And I watched Dominique with his other tables and he impressed me before he even served us. Tim is not it, and sets a poor image for the restaurant. If we go back, hopefully Dominique will be there to serve us and Tim is hosting bc he seems like he would be better at talking and seating people.

A hidden gem. A restaurant with a nice character.Slightly limited menu, but everything seemed to be made in house.Portion size is quite generous.Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Most Maryland Onion Rings I've ever seen!

Our waiter (tattoo guy) was amazing. The food was really good as well. Like always, I turn into a big kid in the novelty store in back. Gotta love the inappropriate socks! ???

Went to Franklin's for lunch on presidents days. Went with a party of 5 and hostess said 15 minute wait. They have a thing where it alerts you what position you are in line. For 10 minutes it kept saying we are next, yet we didn't get sat right away. Other parties of 4 or more got sat before us. After 10 minutes we got sat on a table that was empty since we got there. Waited 10 minutes until the server showed up. Took our order and we never saw him again until it was time to pay. Never got refills or condiments. I do have to say there was a guy who had a cast on his leg that tended to us more than the server. One of the managers checked in all the tables around us except for us. I guess he thought we didn't speak English or something. The food on the other hand is delicious and cooked to perfection. We used to be regulars in 2015 as we lived in the palette apartments close by. The crab dip is very delicious we always get it when we go. Pricey but worth it. Except for the fact they gave it to us with corn tortilla chips instead of bread how we would get it before. The service isn't as it was before.

My family and I came here after going to the airplane museum nearby. This restaurant is so cute and very kid friendly. We were sat right away around 11:30 but by the time we were leaving I could see there was a wait. I got the chicken sandwich with fries and it was pretty good. My husband got the club sandwich and said it was great. He ordered corn pudding on the side and we both thought that was the best part of the meal. My kids shared the chicken tenders and they enjoyed it. There is a store attached to the restaurant that has toys , knickknack etc which was fun to walk through afterwards. It's overall a cool spot!

I’d never been here and was so surprised by the tastiness. Service was excellent. Busy but not loud. I got the vegetarian chili and corn pudding. The beans were perfect and the chili tasted homemade, not too much chili powder. My husband and friend got dishes that they enjoyed. The onion rings were fresh out of the fryer, and the service was prompt and friendly.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options included grilled cheese, bean chili, a noodle dish, and salads. Not a lot of options but what I had was really good.

This is one of our favorite places to get dinner. Whether we eat in the restaurant, or pick it up to eat at home, everything we have ever gotten from here has been delicious. I usually get the fried chicken cobb salad, but I've also gotten the club sandwich, a pizza, and a burger before, and they have all been great. I also really enjoy being able to eat outside here in the summer. Great spot in Hyattsville!

This is one of very few decent restaurants near UMD where you can get table service. Everything is pretty nice. The food is fairly standard American pub fare. But this is becoming our goto place when we visit our sons attending UMD.

Charming spot with excellent food, service, and handcrafted brews. The adjacent general store is a must-visit when you're there! I like the paintings by local artists which decorate the walls; but with its high ceilings and industrial-chic decor, the noise level can make it difficult to hear inside. I prefer the outdoor "tiki" setting on a comfortable day. However, even then, conversation has to pause for the occasional train which passes by a few yards away. It's fantastic for train-lovers, though!

This is fun quirky spot! I had a cheeseburger, they used local Roseda Farms beef which I love. The burger was very good, big portion. The fries were wedge fries, pretty standard. And the margaritas were great! Strong, tasted like fresh lime juice, would get again. It comfortably seats large groups which is great. There's also a parking lot connected; you can to pay via app or machine to park. The store connected has fun tchotchkes plus a large beer and wine selection.

I loved coming here- I hope you get to experience this place at some point in your life. Our server, Domonique, was probably one of THE best servers I've ever had. He was super knowledgeable and gave great suggestions while also being incredibly thorough & prompt. All our food came out super quick. I think the chili was my favorite part of the meal, along with the pretzel. I love onion rings, and I liked theirs (that horseradish sauce!!!), but maybe I just wasn't in the mood for them or the seasoning they pu. I liked tasting the spaghetti, which Domonique suggested we get, but I don't know if I would've wanted it to be my entire meal (very buttery, not as olive oil-y as expected). I would definitely come here again, and really enjoyed it greatly! The shop is huge and there's a lot to look at in there.
