Good Thai food. I've always driven past this Thai restaurant and today I went to one of the stores in the area and decided to stop for spicy basil fried rice with seafood. It is delicious. The waitress was nice. The Arnold Palmer could have been sweeter but I guess that's the universe telling me to cut back on my sugar intake so I didn't complain. In fact I got a second glass. One thing though. The guy delivering the food kept coughing really bad and not covering his mouth as he entered the kitchen area. I was a little taken back by that considering what we went thru during Covid. Otherwise my food was good.

As many times I've passed by this place, I finally decided to say "Why not". The food presentation wasn't bad, the taste was great, the restaurant was very clean with great customer service from the lovely staff. My only issue is that for this small portion, I paid around $22 for seafood fried rice. It felt like a free trial. I have another place that has a similar dish (Shrimp, Crab Salmon Fried Rice) for $25, and let me tell you, it'll last three days max. That's how big of a portion they serve you at that price. It'll also serve two people (depending on how greedy the second person gets. It's me, I'm greedy). I would only go back if they increased the portion, not the price. Overall, it's not bad.

Staff was pleasant and attentive. The food lacked depth of flavor unfortunately. The vegetable soup was indeed a well made stock, however it lacked any seasoning or character. Certainly not enough salt. Lots of vegetable taste, but very flat on flavor. Vegetables were undercooked, obviously just tossed into the warm broth before being served.Appetizer was horrendously overpriced as was the rest of the meal for what it was.Perhaps my Filipina girlfriend said it best. If I gave her 12-15 dollars, she could do better shopping at the retail grocery store and preparing a meal at home. Compared to what we were served for $60 including tip.I suspect the place is in long term financial trouble with menu pricing and below standard quality such as this.

This place was bought over by Siam Thai and the new owners insist they are in business with Tara Thai but the food says otherwise. NOTHING TASTES THE SAME. The spicy basil fried rice I would drive an hour for is now full of bell peppers and went from 8 shrimp to 5 shrimp.Resigning this place as one of my favorites. Another one bites the dust…

this business is no longer a Tara Thai franchise. i have eaten at different TT locations for over 15 years and this location used to be one. the name hasn't changed but the food certainly has. i ordered the mild kapow chicken with sticky rice. i received a spicy chicken dish with standard white rice. I will no longer be esting at this particular location In Hyattsville

My friend had been raving to me about how good the Pad See Ew is here, and that they can make many of the dishes that normally aren't gluten-free to be gluten-free. We came to eat here in person and upon looking at the menu, I was worried that I wouldn't have many options to choose from because the menu didn't list tofu as a protein option for any of the rice or noodle dishes. But I asked if the Pad See Ew could be made with tofu and they said yes, so I asked for that to be made gluten-free and with no egg. And it was one of the better Pad See Ew dishes I've had. Maybe just a tad on the saltier side, but it wasn't too bad. Lots of tofu, too, so I'm glad they didn't skimp on the protein. It was on the quieter side so it wasn't crowded and service was quick. I was a little puzzled by the decor inside - it was just barely February and they'd already put up decorations for Easter. Just amusing to see.

This place has the Tara Thai placard but this is not Tara Thai! I had someone go and pick up food and there was immediate confusion over the online menu and in store menu. Ordered spring rolls, beef salad, and the shrimp dumpling soup per in store menu. The spring rolls are small and tasteless for $7. The beef salad was disgusting and tasted old or something just wasn't right. The shrimp dumpling soup had no shrimp in the middle but instead a gluey meatball like paste that was horrific with a very bland stock base.Tara Thai needs to do something about this immediately because people are reviewing based off of their name! It was brought to my attention that they are called "Siam Thai Cuisine"!?

This place used to have the best thai food. Used to. They completely switched up the way they make their food. They made the portion sizes smaller, and for some reason they started adding bell peppers and red peppers to the Ka Pow beef. Why they would do this is beyond me. I used to take out here at least 2/3 times a week. However, after my last visit I will not be back. The service is great the people are extremely nice. But the food has fallen off unfortunately. The biggest mistake successful restaurants make is changing stuff. Please go back to how you used to be.

The food, the service, and the atmosphere are wonderful. The drunken noodles and green curry with chicken are my favorites.

02/04/2024- This is a great restaurant for dining in or take out! I ordered the “green curry “ dinner! Yum! It was hit and spicy ?️! The restaurant was clean. The staff of (3) were kind and professional. The music in the atmosphere was soothing. The Art on the walls and decor was nice. There were no other patrons on the restaurant besides the two of us. My friend ordered a spicy ?️ shrimp dinner! Yum! I gather that most patrons use grub hub! They close for one hour between 2pm and 3pm. Conveniently located, free parking is just around the corner or on the street. This food establishment sits across from “BusBoys and Poets and near “ Elevation Burger” in the city of Hyattsville/College Park. By the way there are some cute art and clothing shops in the same corridor along with additional vegan spots and a PHO spot! Love it!
