I came in at 6:35pm on Sunday 10-18 and the sign said they were open until 7pm but the gate was closed and no one was inside the restaurant. I’ve been waiting all day down the road to get unloaded and I just wanted a nice dinner but no we still can’t be open during our scheduled times because truckers are not important. I’m lucky I’m not in this area a lot because it’s clear TA and Country cafe don’t care about customer service.
The food could have been better. Chicken was drenched in sweet and spicy sauce. Did not need that. After 2 bites it was a no. The steak was not cooked all the way. Did not give the savory taste. Sour dough bread was hard. Shrimp not cooked through. But Hella fried on the outside. Could have been better.
Got the Steerburger, mashed taters, and mac and cheese. Was worried about the reviews but this is good! They actually cooked my steerburger perfectly medium, like I asked. That's rare. Lady up front was nice, and efficient and chill. I stopped here once years ago and dreaded getting stuck here today but the employees and this freakin good food really made my day! Thank you!
