Great service I had a great Burger melt on toast. There's nothing wrong with the atmosphere it's just an average but great local restaurant with plain furnishings. ....you don't eat the furnishings, so that is a small part of the score.

For some reason got caught between breakfast and lunch, apparently. They made us wait 15-20 minutes before they’d even take the order. Don’t believe what you hear about “charming local restaurants”. Sometimes they’re just bad. This is one of those.

Many health code violations. I ordered corn fritters because how dirty could a fryer be compared to the total rat trap that the rest of the place is.... right? Wrong. I ate 2 of them they were gross. The most disgusting part tho were the two older waitresses on staff. One was thin with ratted 80s style blonde hair and the other was short with grey hair and glasses. They loudly and viciously gossiped about the younger waitress that was coming in because she was less than 5 minutes late. They ruined my appetite. The younger waitress that came in was truly lovely though. Bonnie's at the red byrd do better.
