Bonnie's At the Red Byrd Reviews
We enjoyed our breakfast! My omelette was huge and the fried potatoes were excellent with onions. My husband enjoyed his breakfast special and said the hot cakes were delicious!
Sometimes you just have to take a stand. Let’s just say we won’t be going back. After years and years of eating at this place back when I was at college and having our monthly breakfast there, they refused to add mushrooms to an omelette for a friend even if we were willing to pay the extra $.75 like the menu said, because you’re not allowed to custom order. So they said we would have to get a cheese omelette and then add five ingredients to it and pay extra for each ingredient...read full review
Worst food and service was even more terrible. I will not be going back especially after being expected to eat or pay for a meal that was NOT even how it was ordered. Also we were charged 2.65 for one cup of hot water. It’s very sad because One of the servers is the sweetest around and I will be going back to visit her only.

Bonnie's At the Red Byrd is a cozy local diner that serves up delicious meals at reasonable prices. The chicken fried steak and fried catfish remain particular standouts, while the Burger melt on toast is a tasty option. The restaurant has received praise for its good food, good prices, and good menu options. The atmosphere is average, but the friendly staff and home-cooked food contribute positively to the experience. However, some customers have noted that the booth seats are not comfortable and may need to be redone. Service is generally good, though there have been mentions of some staff appearing irritable. The restaurant also offers excellent homemade pies. Despite a few concerns, Bonnie's is still a great choice for a home-cooked meal in Sharpsburg or Boonsboro, especially for those who enjoy a pretty drive and good food.
