“Very bright, warm, friendly location. Drink offerings are varied and refreshing. The staff are always responsive and even offers firepit in the winter. Definitely has grown exponentially since their initial opening. Great local brewery. Parking has been a battle as far as access, but the location is very cute and welcoming.“

“I’d never been here and was so surprised by the tastiness. Service was excellent. Busy but not loud. I got the vegetarian chili and corn pudding. The beans were perfect and the chili tasted homemade, not too much chili powder. My husband and friend got dishes that they enjoyed. The onion rings were fresh out of the fryer, and the service was prompt and friendly.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options included grilled cheese, bean chili, a noodle dish, and salads. Not a lot of options but what I had was really good.“

“Saw a recommendation in the nudge that this place had yummy hot chocolate (optional to get it spiked) so came for a date night! It’s so much bigger inside than I expected. I’ve been by here so many times. So glad we came! My only complaint is that is was SO loud (on a Tuesday night) from bingo in the back room that it was difficult to carry a conversation, however the overall vibe of this place is amazing! Love seeing queer bars in the city. Oh, and the hot chocolate was delicious!“

“We celebrated a birthday at Denizens @ Riverdale Park Station. The interaction with the staff before during, and after the event was extremely helpful; everyone was very kind. They made it really for us to reserve the place, accommodate it to our needs, and even stay a little longer than the closing time. Of course, the beer is outstanding!Kid-friendliness: Being a bar and restaurant that accommodates everyone, it was the perfect place to include adults and kids and enjoy with family and friends.“

Silver Branch Lagerhaus & Biergarten Brewery • $$
8401 Colesville Rd #150, Silver Spring - 3.22 miles

“You walk into most breweries these days, and you’re met with a “choice“ of seven different varieties of IPA.Not at Silver Branch, where they have at least a half dozen decidedly different styles, and all are quite good—as consistently good a brewery as we’ve found on the East Coast. It’s not perfect—the food leaves something to be desired (pretzel + beer cheese = good), when it’s busy, the service can be sort of a disaster, and the order on an app on your cell phone is annoying as hell. But good beer plus a nice ambience goes an awful long way!“

“We hosted our wedding at Right Proper this fall and they were great for work with. Taylor, the events manager, was incredibly responsive to all our requests and emails. Everyone at Right Proper was helpful and accommodating of our needs. The wedding went off smoothly, the food and drinks were great. Everyone commented to us about how good the food was. They also were willing to help out with decor and A/V, really going above and beyond our expectations. Cannot recommend them enough if you are looking for a space to host a private event.“

Brewer's Lounge at Rock Bottom Brewery Brewpubs • $$
7900 Norfolk Ave, Bethesda - 2.79 miles

“This review is for the Saturday night Stand Up Comedy To Go show, which is a blast! It's $20 cash only to attend but well worth it to see the local and visiting talent assembled. The space feels intimate despite having a solid seating capacity and the energy between the comics and the crowd is warm and lively, can't recommend enough for performers and comedy members alike“

“POSTING TWO SEPARATE REVIEWS because the basic elements of this place are so far apart.SERVICE is great! It's not a traditional sit down restaurant. It is the typical brew pub, but better. You order what you want through the app or at the bar, get your number and someone brings the food. You get your own water refills and get your drinks at the bar.The staff that brings the food, the bartenders, the buspeople clearing the table - all GREAT!We were there for trivia night and the guy doing the trivia is one of the best we've ever encountered. Good clear diction (if you don't do trivia, you can't appreciate how important this is), he had good background music, and created a great vibe.SECOND HALF OF REVIEWThe food was WAAAYYYYY too salty. Inedible for some at the table.WHY WHY WHY do restaurants buy the most uncomfortable chairs available? I understand being on a budget, but especially a brew pub where you'll likely spend 2 hrs in the chairs, the owners should take into consideration the comfort of the chairs.“

“The food, service and atmosphere were great. The only reason I give only 4 not 5 stars is that the side portions felt a little too small … like less than a fist of green beans and fries. (And I have tiny hands!)But food is tasty and staff is great!“
