SoBe - I have to give them credit, the inside is beautiful. Who doesn't like live music with dinner? Let's get into the food! Appetizer: Shrimp was delicious, the cabbage garnish was perfect! Kudos to the chef for that TOUCH! I got the Salmon. The salad was perfect! It was dressed with just the right amount of dressing! Rice was good! Salmon was good, it was cooked well well and a little dry but overall good! No complaints honestly. My date got the Lobster and he shared! It was yummy! Drinks were delicious! Coconut Ciroc drink was perfect! Coming back the second or fourth Friday! lol See you soon!

Oh boy.. lets get into it. I sat at the bar (very thin barstools btw, inviting but uncomfortable) and received a cold glare from Sabrina the bartender who looked annoyed that I was there. Without a word, she gave me some water then walked away. I was the only person at the bar. She was unattractive, dismissive and distracted by her phone. Turns out she just needed to eat. She demeanor changed after she got a few bites of her salmon. 2/5. I do recommend the drinks. Wonderful but Caution: Very well made but the glasses are ridiculously small for the price you pay. The jerk wings were over flavored with jerk seasoning and very dry. The rack of lamb might be this place saving grace. Awesome presentation, very flavorful at med- rare. Makes me wonder if their other entries are this nice. The cheesecake was just ok. Creamy but it should have thawd more. The atmosphere was lively with club music pumping. Not busy at the time I came (5pm). Not fond of the automatic 18% gratuity on every check though. I may return but not sit at the bar.

After the pandemic this upscale restaurant went from a 10 to a 0. I could barely hear myself over the loud hip hop dj the dress code was ghetto the manager was clueless yes it’s another manager Our food took 45 minutes to come out. The waitress did not check on us ever. Horrible experience this is now for 30 and under not real grown folks that just want to listen to some jazz and eat brunch. The mimosa was in a baby glass the food was okay but the presentation was horrible

Julie, the barmaid, totally changed this review around-and the chef, but we would never have gotten to even want to eat here if it wasn't for Julie. Prior to arriving we called to ask about reservations & were told we didn't need any. We arrive no less than 10 mins later & were told we needed reservations! Uhm, what? When the front hostesses were told that we'd just called & were told we didn't need reservations to the person (that mumbled) over the phone, the response was, "well, I didn't answer the phone!" WTH? We were then told we could sit in a booth for $300, or get a table for $100 or sit at the bar for free, bc they have live entertainment. Again, WTH? My partner said those aren't kosher prices even in DC Or NY! Well, maybe NY depending on who was singing! Do they realize where we are? Anyway, we opted for free seating @ the bar! We met Julie there who informed us & apologized for the misinformation we were initially given. Julie stated that the prices given were minimum spending prices to be seated at those particular seats bc of the live entertainment. Oh, ok....that made sense-we'd probably spend that($100) anyway! She had the finesse that the front staff SHOULD HAVE HAD! Plus, she made us really great drinks. Then we decided to order, with trepidation on my end. I got the southwestern chicken salad with shrimp & my partner ordered the salmon, with a side of asparagus (he's a vegetarian). Our compliments to the chef! Both dishes were very good! The band played jazz, & well known tunes of Frankie Beverly, & Luther Vandross. So the crowd was older & the dress was office casual to dressy. Culturally, I’d love to say it was ethnically diverse, but it wasn't. Most were various shades of melanated hues, as was the band. If those of a lesser hue were also attending, I believe they'd be treated just like everyone else there for a good time & to enjoy good music. In addition, like most events with larger amounts of melanin at play, the sheriff's were close by & made their presence known by standing at the front door all night! In sum, if there's an event, make reservations for the dining side, or you can sit on the min. $ table side near the bar area. I've included pictures of everything! Hope you enjoyed this review!

A change of pace from dining in DC. Went here yesterday evening. I did see lots of reviews about poor service, but the experience I had with our server Justice was great. She was sweet, attentive and professional. There was a DJ that gave us everything from old school R&B, hip hop a little trap music and some Go-go. I had the Braised Oxtails which came with canbage, plantains and rice beans. The oxtails were flavorful and fell off the bone. Overall, if you're looking for a local spot for vibes in PG county for the grown folk, this could be it.

JUSTIN!!!! HE REALLY LEFT THE BEST IMPRESSION WITH ME AND MY FAMILY ON SOBE PATIO AND GREAT POTENTIAL DURING OUR VISIT!!! He is going somewhere and was very professional and eager to serve others well. Compassion is key and he has it ?? We came to celebrate my big sisters Bday, spite the inconsistency in the lounge. The food was fresh came out hot and it made things a bit easier ? ?? Justin is a respectful young man I appr his in customer service food chain brain the only staff member that asked how was everything and make sure we were happy in the end!!! He’s a keeper much needed young men like him in this chaotic service world, nothing but great energy ✌?

So I traveled from Baltimore to Check this place out it was worth the ride..It was very upscale u0026 can be a nice date night spot or to hang out with a group of friends. I love the lounge seats in the dining area they were comfy and cute.. The fish tank and furniture was appealing in the waiting area. I enjoyed the music such as the instrumental RNB and solo singing too. Even tho it was a bit loud. We had to talk loud to have a conversation. Good thing it wasn't most of the night that the music was continuously super loud so that helped.. They also was nice enough to accommodate my party of 6 to a party of 4 u0026 we sat in the back.. Lastly, the food was delicious I had the Braised Oxtail u0026 meat was so tender even down to the bone..My Appetizer was the catfish bites which was exceptionally seasoned and fried well..Food didn't take long at all to arrive and it was hot. My Drinks was good, prices was definitely reasonable and my service was great.. As well as my waitress Danielle was very attentive..Bathroom was clean and nice big mirror to catch some whole body pics..Overall, The whole ambiance was a vibe, I would come back again soon..!

The atmosphere was nice but the food… so so. I just think it’s over priced and salty but ??‍♀️ I ordered the shrimp and grits, the sauce was too salty and it only came with four shrimps and the bowl was very small. Idk ??‍♀️ maybe I need to dine in again.

Good music, but not a good place to go to catch up with my homegirl because it's loud. A club on one side and dining on the other. The music was too loud to hear each other... like when in a club setting and having to yell to the person next to you. The service was a bit slow at first. Our server didn't know we were his table, but once he did, he was very attentive. The food was GOOD. I had ox tails with rice and cabbage. The ox tails were tender and well seasoned. ?? the bartender was on point. My old fashion was good and strong. The calamari appetizer came out 2 minutes before our entree, so we didn't really eat it. I'd be back to try more items on the menu. The last time I was here was pre-covid and the brunch was a very good buffet style service. I wonder if it's still the same. The parking was ample... the restaurant is in a shopping center.

Fast service for Sunday brunch. Very pretty presentation. Server was friendly and attentive. The food lacked salt and I had to use hot sauce for any real flavor. The French toast was good but I wish the served this dish on a larger plate. Lastly, I wish they told u it was chicken tight. It was slightly off-putting to expect chicken breast but receive a thigh.

Where do we start❓When we 1st walked in the scene was dope with a live DJ and good music. Then it quickly changed after waiting about 5 minutes for a hostess or any employee to notice we were at the front area waiting to be seated. Finally, after multiple employees walked past us not saying a word someone from the bar comes and speaks. We choose to sit on the opposite side of the bar area where majority of the music played along with patrons. After being seated on the right where it was only one other 2-person party it was an additional 5-10 minutes before a server showed. Skipping past the subpar greeting and service the food was decent to say the least. Definitely, has room for improvement especially with the music volume as well. It was basically club SoBe on a Thursday night. Having to yell when you’re sitting side by side was irritating but with minor adjustments this place could be solid.

Fried Catfish Fingers at sobe lounge is so good. Fried in a cornmeal batter crispy but not over done and very flavorful

Nice restaurant, service was great, music was great, the drinks are good, shrimp and grits were delicious you can't go wrong with them. Tried the Alfredo with Salmon but it needed more seasoning, would definitely come back and try happy hour and brunch . Great for a date night make sure you make reservations. I wouldn't take the Chance of walking in on the weekends
