We had such a wonderful experience at Miss Toya's Southern Kitchen! The food was delicious, the customer service was warm and welcoming, and the ambiance created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing meal. I especially appreciated that the noise level was just right—conversation-friendly and comfortable. Definitely a spot we'll be visiting again!

I pod $138, including top for a less than average experience. The food was okay but not worth bottomless prices and lacked taste. My partner and I enjoyed the chicken and waffles and the honey pancakes were good, but nothing else was mentionable. The service was also lacking. Bottom line, you don't get your money's worth.

My family and I dined there on Feb 13th, the service was slow and there were a few people who came to our table to see how we were doing. The food was slow to come out, temperature was lukewarm and my 3 year old great grandson's food came out last. I ordered the pork chops and they were not done on the inside, my mashed potatoes were supposed to be garlic mash, but it tasted like cheesy mashed potatoes and I had the sweet potatoes, they were actually pretty good. I had high hopes for this restaurant, I like supporting our black owned restaurants, but I just didn't enjoy the food or service, plus the menu was quite pricey. At this time, I would not recommend going to the Laurel, MD location, I sure hope they do better

We celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday here. It was lackluster when compared to Miss Toya's Creole Kitchen in Silver Spring. The atmosphere is more food court or fast food restaurant than a nice dining experience. I booked a reservation 5 days ahead yet we were standing at the front door waiting while we watched the hostess SLOWLY clean our table. We were finally seated around about 15mins past our reservation time. The food wasn't particularly well seasoned although the presentation was nice. I advised that we would be celebrating a birthday but outside of a little sign on the table, it was never acknowledged. They should probably tell you upfront that they only split checks evenly and can only use up to 3 cards. The prices were on the higher end for the level of experience we were met with. The server was nice enough and knowledgeable about the dishes offered. I would suggest Miss Toya's Creole Kitchen over their Southern Kitchen if you're looking for a nice experience with good food and worth the money you're going to pay.

Consistently delicious, quality food. On this visit, however, a couple of side dishes were served cold and we were halfway through our meal before the sides were returned after being heated. Nonetheless, we will return at a future time. Highly recommend the fried green tomatoes...delish!

We went 01/11/26 for the first time to celebrate my son's 14th birthday. The food was horrible , service was slow. They had the audacity to try and charge me an additional $25 dollars for bringing in cupcakes . I wasn't paying that , and took cupcakes home and we sang happy birthday there. Overpriced for something that's not worth it. I will not be going there again , what a waste of money and time.

Our experience at Miss Toya's was great. Chyna was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very energetic and helpful. She was able to accommodate my girlfriend's seafood allergy and gave great suggestions on what we would like for our first visit. The drinks were strong and delicious, and the food was amazing. Will be back!

Service was great. Our waitress made sure we were satisfied and well taken care of. When our appetizer came out and we were not pleased with the taste, she spoke to the manager, they removed it from our bill and offered a replacement. Had a good experience and would go back.

The food here is worth every penny. The portions we got were big, but OMG, the food was sooooo good. We order several side dishes and appetizers to try them all, they were all good. Seasoned just right. Great food.

Went there for their new bottomless brunch. The server was good, but the service was very slow and inconsistent. Primarily due to a large party that was disputing their bill which took away from our server taking care of her other tables. The food was OK however the snow crab legs were embarrassingly small. Also, the food did not come out of the kitchen timely. It's a good concept but the quality of the food was not the best. If what is on the bottomless brunch is the quality of the food they serve on a regular basis, I would not go back.

The food was delicious; really healthy portions. I had pork chops (which you get 2 healthy sizes) smothered in gravy which were seasoned to perfection with Mac and cheese, which was good and cheesy with collard greens and the sweet buttery muffins, everything was simply delicious! The atmosphere was cozy and great music to vibe to while eating. I was celebrating my daughter in law's birthday and the restaurant provided a birthday sign on the table that has lights on it and without telling them, they played Stevie Wonder's Happy Birthday song. Miss Toya's provided a wonderful evening. I truly recommend going to Miss Toya's!

It was such an amazing experience!!! Our waiter Jordan was amazing and so kind! My fiancé and I went for dinner on a Monday night and absolutely loved the food. We got the seafood eggrolls, wings, and stuffed shrimp as appetizers. I got the jambalaya pasta and my fiancé got. Southern oxtails 10/10!
