Laurel location was cute friendly staff lowkey . Drinks were delicious, get the miskiry!! Everything we ordered was good and when we couldn’t decide Lawren helped and she was so nice!! Had a great time will definitely be back

I'm not a "foodie". I just eat because if you don't you'll die. Additionally, I'm a very picky eater. The food at Miss Toya's was outstanding! I had the grilled pork chops, which were very tender, flavorful and smothered in a tatsy brown gravy. The sweet potatoes reminded me of those my mom used to make and I really liked the steamed cabbage. Service was outstanding! Attentive, but not hovering. Tje restaurant was well lit amd confortable. I will definitely be back!

Parking: Restaurant is in an outdoor shopping center, so parking close is a premium.

I saw this location at the town center today while walking around and I figured I'd check it out, the young lady who helped me out in the front did a wonderful job helping me decide what to get, I will be back with my family soon. Great cozy black-owned restaurant ?

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Miss Toya Restaurant in Laurel, MD, and I must say, the experience was truly enhanced by our amazing waitress, Sam. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm smile and a genuine enthusiasm that set the tone for our meal.

Sam's knowledge of the menu was impressive. She took the time to explain the specials and made thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences, demonstrating a keen understanding of the dishes offered. Her attentive nature ensured that we never had to wait long for refills or additional condiments, and she checked in on us regularly to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.

I was throughly disappointed in the quality, quantity and pricing of the food. Not to mention the lack of cleanliness and lack of professionalism. As a black-owned restaurant you have added to the narrative that black businesses do not offer quality products and services. We felt that we got the bare minimum instead the full potential of what you could bring to the community as a black owned restaurant. Case in point I ordered the salmon nuggets, when I got home they were the size of half a dime and not appealing to the eye. It made us feel someone was trying to stretch food. The chicken wings tasted old and stale as if they had been sitting for some time. In today's climate quality, cleanliness, service and pricing is key to everyone you are serving. The competiton is steep especially in this area. I am not writing this letter to shame the business, rather as constructive criticism. I would hope you pay more attention to QS & C to improve your profits. Blessings to you.

The food here is good. Great even. The service ruined the night.

The waiter had to be flagged down for everything. We waited 30 min for desserts that never came. Sides never came. We also had to ask to have plates taken away from the table since they had piled up. Drinks went empty and meals were delivered at different times.

This is the second time here. The first time the service was slow but not bad. This time it was terrible.

I love the food but with the service this bad I don't know if I'll be back.

I walked into the location and it’s nice on the inside. I walk to the counter and there were 3 people standing there talking. While talking one lady counted money and handed it to another employee. Another man was standing there with his back towards me. Another younger man standing there facing me. Absolutely no one greeted me. After standing there for a minute while they were all talking to each other I asked if I can seat myself. The lady looked at me as if she was irritated and said the hostess will seat me. It turns out the hostess was the young man behind the counter. Now I’m seated. After 10 minutes passed the waiter gave me a glass of water and took my order. The food was good except it wasn’t hot and the rice was dry. Then I asked the waiter for my check and a box for my food. He said okay. He went behind the bar and started talking to the 2 customers at the bar. After 20 minutes I walked to the bar and asked for the box and my bill. I paid but will never go here again.

It's been a minute since I've had an outstanding meal. Well, today I had Crab Stuffed Salmon, Collard Greens and Cabbage at Miss Toya's in Laurel. AND let me tell you -- I wanted stand up and HOLLA, you know what I mean. It was so @#%$ good! Chef Damien knew he out did him self. The music was flowing and I wanted to get up and dance. We arrived at 1:30 and didn't leave til 4:00. Can't wait to slide in for my next Lunch/Dinner. Get yourself on over there and try them out and tell Chef Damien Ms Merl said Hi!!

I ordered a wing dinner on UberEats. It took about an hour and a half to receive, which is fine because was expected. However, there was a big hair on the mac and cheese and UberEats refused to give me a refund without a photo. I couldn't upload a photo because of a glitch in the app. But I won't be ordering from this place again, it's way to pricy to be so careless as to have hair in the food. Absolutely disgusting!
