Menu caters to meat and plant-based eaters alike. Food is flavorful and reasonably priced. Owner is friendly, and it's obvious he takes pride in his establishment. Thanks for a delicious experience! Can't wait to come back!
Delicious food and great customer service. They were helpful and patient. The vibe was nice.

I ordered the grits and jerk chicken. The grits were extremely wet because they along with the jerk chicken which tasted like boiled chicken, were floating in water or broth. Nether item had flavor, cheese was almost non-existent and more than anything the dish was not esthetically pleasing. It looked like slop. Suggestion, don't add all of that water on top of the scope of grits just add cheese and jerk chicken should have flavor, spice, and heat. The side order of grits was better because the flavor was not watered down with whatever was put on top of the main dish. Disappointed. Would not order grits and jerk chicken again and it is unlikely that I will order the pho-jerk chicken again. The dish has potential but needs improvement.

Stopped by More Than Java Café and it absolutely lived up to the name. I grabbed the Salmon Egg & Cheese sandwich, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly put together—definitely not your average breakfast sandwich. I paired it with the Island Paradise Smoothie, and that was a win all on its own: smooth, refreshing, and packed with tropical flavor.
The staff really made the experience even better. They were welcoming, friendly, and patient, taking the time to make sure everything was right and offering great energy from the moment I walked in. You can tell they genuinely care about both the food and the people they’re serving.
What also stood out is the variety on the menu—plenty of great options, and everything I saw coming out looked just as good as what I ordered. And if you’re planning something special, they also prepare charcuterie boards, which are perfect for events or even to share while you’re visiting the café.
Great food, great staff, and an all-around solid spot. I’ll definitely be back.

I've eaten at More than Java three times now, and the food is consistently delicious.
We enjoy their food so much that we celebrated a birthday there. The family team ensured that we had a reserved table, took food orders efficiently, then served delicious food. We had a wonderful, personalized experience.
More than Java means not just food and coffee, but also community.

I didn't expect to get proper jerk chicken in a place like this, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Moist, tender and pleasantly spicy, just as good as any Jamaican restaurant. A bit messy, so I may opt for a wrap next time. Friendly service. Would happily come back next time I'm in the area.

The savage mill location is quite cute and people nice enough and food was ok, but service was inefficient with some confusion. I ordered a hot apple cider and a veggie omelette platter with grits. While i understand that this is not a fast food establishment, i still felt 25 minutes was an excessive wait time, and there was a lot of confusion with orders. Once my food was ready, they told me one item wasnt available and offered me a substitution of potatoes. Had i known they were out BEFORE i ordered, i would have ordered something else. Once i finally received my order, the drink tasted like cider with watered down coffee in it unfortunately, so it didnt taste right (im assuming they used a storage cylinder that probably used to have coffee), and the substitution of potatoes was a bit mushy.

This place was an incredible find. The food was unique and delicious. The service was incredible. Everyone was friendly with a smile. And the location was a great place to get some work done. Highly recommend, as I think this would be a great place for brunch or just a meal, in general.

Food was BANGING! Coffee was okay, would get coffee at the nearly Roggenarts Cafe. Vegan options were so delicious, and the staff were all friendly and warm. Got treats for our pup, enjoyed a vegan bowl and a breakfast sandwich that I'm still thinking about weeks later. Flavorful, well cooked, thoughtfully composed. A first-rate addition to Savage Mills.
