More Than Java Café

Saw this place online and had to try the Jerk Chicken sandwiches. Absolutely incredible food, apple cider was amazing. Will be back!

The savage mill location is quite cute and people nice enough and food was ok, but service was inefficient with some confusion. I ordered a hot apple cider and a veggie omelette platter with grits. While i understand that this is not a fast food establishment, i still felt 25 minutes was an excessive wait time, and there was a lot of confusion with orders. Once my food was ready, they told me one item wasnt available and offered me a substitution of potatoes. Had i known they were out BEFORE i ordered, i would have ordered something else. Once i finally received my order, the drink tasted like cider with watered down coffee in it unfortunately, so it didnt taste right (im assuming they used a storage cylinder that probably used to have coffee), and the substitution of potatoes was a bit mushy.

This place was an incredible find. The food was unique and delicious. The service was incredible. Everyone was friendly with a smile. And the location was a great place to get some work done. Highly recommend, as I think this would be a great place for brunch or just a meal, in general.

Food was BANGING! Coffee was okay, would get coffee at the nearly Roggenarts Cafe. Vegan options were so delicious, and the staff were all friendly and warm. Got treats for our pup, enjoyed a vegan bowl and a breakfast sandwich that I'm still thinking about weeks later. Flavorful, well cooked, thoughtfully composed. A first-rate addition to Savage Mills.

All good vibes at more than Java cafe. I ordered the jerk chicken and egg breakfast sandwich on coco bread and it was so good! It was nicely seasoned, very flavorful and made with love. The customer service here is impeccable. I will definitely be back.

The coffee is hotel coffee, it is just another cup of Java so to say. We got the blend of the day which was supposed to be caramel, hazelnut, etc etc. but was literally a cup of black coffee out of the coffee machine (premade). We also ordered the Merck chicken with French toast, it was not jerk chicken at all. It was some kind of stewed chicken which wasn’t bad but not necessarily good in any sense of the word, it was absolutely not jerk chicken. I think they just allowed us to order it then gave us whatever they were making already. The French toast was mediocre and needed butter and syrup to eat, which was those regular prepackaged table syrup’s instead of real maple syrup. For $15 on a takeout breakfast order, I was hoping for a lot more. I will never eat at this place again.

I've dined here twice and had such a great experience! They have some of the best customer service here I've ever experienced! Amazing people for sure. I love the atmosphere as it's very earthy and calming! Both times I've dined here was for brunch. This time, I ordered the Belgian waffle platter with turkey bacon (the good kind!), scrambled eggs, and grits. All of it was sooooo good, especially the waffles! Very soft and fluffy, yet flavorful! You get a good portion size for a reasonable price on all the food. I highly recommend dining here!

Absolutely amazing experience in this spacious & beautiful cafe! It felt like a place I could stay all day. The customer service was top tier & as I waited for my food I could overhear the employees speaking comfortably with the customers/regulars as if they were family. I ordered the vegan breakfast bowl with the all berry smoothie & they did NOT disappoint! Can’t wait to go back!

I'm happy I accidentally stumbled across this gem! My daughter and I were greeted by a friendly staff and a beautiful atmosphere. The food and service were also excellent. Can't wait to return. The seating area is a must see!
