A nice small town place with great service and decent food. The prices are great for what you get. We went for breakfast and will definitely visit again to try out the dinner menu.

Worst experience ever. Drove 20 minutes just to go here and give it a try. Waited 15 minutes for waitress to approach our table of two. Ordered chocolate milk and coffee to drink...they were brought out to us. Chocolate milk looked white! No spoons to stir up the milk or for coffee, to stir in cream and sugar. Ordered breakfast. Still waiting for spoons and more chocolate syrup. Breakfast came out without the meat on one platter, and eggs were overcooked on both. Will not be visiting here again, ever.

This is your hometown restaurant. Great burgers, huge portions, friendly staff. One of our go-to spots to bring the whole family for dinner.

Found this place via google and I’m glad I selected this for breakfast.
Friendly staff. The owner comes around to ask about you multiple times and that really makes you feel at home

Although they were a bit late with our order but it turned out great. I would highly recommend this for your classic American breakfast. It’s a nice cosy diner with lots on the menu.
Portion sizes are average two people can easily share a breakfast but it’s up to you.
It’s a little on the expensive side but I guess that is justified looking at the quality of the food.
Coffee was perfect. The best sip of coffee I had in a long long time!
Thanks Joel and co. If we’re ever back in the area we will definitely visit again.

Dempsey’s Grille is a fantastic little bar and diner located in downtown Middletown, MD. It’s easy to spot from the street and the inside is covered in memorabilia and artwork from past decades. They even have a historical pamphlet that tells the story of how Dempsey’s got started back in the 1800s.

I walked in and was sat at the bar by Alex, who was genuinely great to talk to as he took my order. It’s an open kitchen so you can see the chefs cooking everything in the back—something I always appreciate.

My order was a patty melt with no tomatoes, buffalo wings, and a Diet Coke. Everything came out hot and fast, and Alex made sure I had what I needed before I dug in.

The food was great and exactly to order! No complaints from me and, honestly, the fries were amazing.

I love little spots like this; their charm and history make the experience of visiting and eating all the more unique.

If you’re in Middletown, stop by for a bite!

It's just not the same.. I know with ever new owner you want to try to make something that is great be even better. But when you change so much and lose so many regular customers that make the place special and be nonstop busy..

Excellent food made the way you ask for it. Cakes and pies are hand made by the owner. NOT store bought. Generous portions. Excellent friendly service and reasonable prices.

It was ok. Not as great as previous owners.

Hamburger is tough and on old hard stale bread… Cole slaw is warm like it’s been sitting out all day and fries were certainly fried in old stale oil… very young waiter never came back to check on anything … 1 other table in whole place.. I understand why… as great as this place was it’s certainly not worth going now.
