Orchid Cellar Meadery and Winery is a charming gem in the Maryland mountains. The mead impressed visitors with its variety and high quality, with the classic mead being a favorite among many. The atmosphere was stunning, even in March. The tasting room manager did a great job explaining the drinks, and the staff provided very personalized service, taking time to understand individual preferences. The host was professional and welcoming, making it an excellent first-time experience. Customers enjoyed the fruity bubbly and pre-packaged snacks. While one drink was sour initially, it was quickly rectified. Visitors also appreciated the vibe and the tasty drinks, including Heirloom Cider, Blackberry, and hunter (hot pepper). The owners have crafted refined and well-made mead products, with a story of a family from Poland that has been making mead for over 20 years.
