We love BBQ so we stopped by CarterQue for the first time for Saturday lunch. It turned out to be an excellent choice with great food along with great service. The prices are moderate, and there are a lot of choices on the menu.

Fantastic BBQ. The Black Raspberry sauce is incredible. Loaded tater tots are amazing and the pulled pork and brisket are tender and tasty. All the food here is awesome! Quick service too.

Egg rolls 10/10, cornbread 9.5/10 (not as good as my Meemaw’s), burnt ends 10/10, brisket sammie 10/10, dang good hush puppies, lean brisket still tender w/ fantastic flavor, fries are prob better fresh but not notable, the ribs! Oh lord have mercy them ribs! They’re fall off the bone tender, delicious, perfectly smoked, top quality make you slap the table ribs! Between the ribs n the brisket i can’t pick which i like more. Now, the “hot n spicy” sauce leaves quite a bit to be desired BUT it’s a very good sauce! Quite tasty! Just don’t quite live up to its name is all. Service was fantastic & friendly, prices are more than in the customers favor for what you’re getting. Hell, the coleslaw was terrific. Them ribs though! I bet i could eat a whole table of them! And that cornbread. It was awesome! We’ll be back!

All in all, I was a bit disappointed with the food. The open-faced turkey was colder than I’d like, and the broccoli had a hint of freezer burn. The brisket was dry and lacked flavor. On the bright side, the cornbread fried pickles and hushpuppies were great, and the atmosphere and staff were nice.

Awesome place! Visiting from NJ, my family and I went here for dinner. The service was quick and efficient, the people were friendly, and the food was terrific!!

Our initial waitress was amazing and provided excellent service. My friend and I met there for lunch in June as we hadn't seen each other in a while. The food was very good as well. The place only had one other customer and we were able to visit for a good amount of time. We were getting ready to leave as we had already paid our bill to our original waitress. There was a shift change, it wasn't yet busy and as I stated we were getting ready to leave when the evening waitress approached our table and took our glasses and said "We're running out of glasses." Really... is that the best she could come up with. I guess she didn't think we were leaving fast enough. Maybe some customer service training/refresher is in order.
