“Outstanding! I am up here for work from Florida, and as many times as I have been to Frederick, I can't believe I have not eaten here sooner. The atmosphere is wonderful! There is nothing better than the smell of smoked BBQ filling the air. Ample parking, and I love the location. The food is fantastic! I had the potato salad, sweet potatoes, and 2 meats (Arkansas Brisket which are burnt tips and Hot Links). The platter comes with pickled onions, pickles, and cornbread. It did not disappoint. Plus the original BBQ which comes with it, had an interesting flavor. Sweet and vinegary, with a little heat, which was nice. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for some good BBQ.“

“Being a D.C. native, I’m usually weary when it comes to getting food in rural places. Typically- I’m afraid that it will be bland or overpriced because it’s a small business in the middle of nowhere Maryland. HOWEVER. This place was so good! The food was priced well, seasoned AMAZINGLY, and the portions? Out of this world. Must try deli, skip the Subway and come here.“

“Our server Kyle was great! They were able to make me foods safe for me to eat due to my food allergies (THANK YOU!!). Others in my party loved the fresh, homemade rolls (I’m allergic, so couldn’t eat them, but they looked amazing!).
The only downside was the extra long wait. We were told 30-40 minutes, but the wait was over 50 minutes. It was the day after Valentine’s Day, so I’d guess this wasn’t normal. You can make reservations online, I’d highly suggest it!
Dietary restrictions: I let them know my allergies and they worked to make me a great meal!“

“The food was amazing! We had the all you can eat package, the kimchi and bulgogi was amazing! We had Soju and Terra with our dinner and it was a nice pairing! The bibimbap and ramen bar was a great touch while we waited!

“The Moose Pit food bodes well with the senses. You can smell the aroma of the Smoked Meats before you actually get to the food truck which makes your mouth start to water and shifts your brain into a high level of anticipation and excitement of what your hunger needs for fulfillment. The taste of the food with the added secret ingredients makes you want to try everything on the menu. The smoked mac & cheese, beans, coleslaw, french fries are tasty sides to the smoked chicken, pit beef, pulled pork, brats, hot dogs and any other foods they prepare. The food presentation is a sight for hungry eyes to see. The food truck is really cool and clean looking. Nick and Steve and their coworkers are very friendly and personable and make you feel like you are family. I highly recommend the Moose pit. They also do catering. I dream about the food sometimes! Delicious!!!“
