“This place is so unique. Very fun family experience. The owners were so kind to us and went above and beyond to show my kids a great time. They even let them pick raspberries! Super fun place to take the kids, highly recommend!!”
“Knew we would be in the area for the weekend, so we reached out to see if a tasting and tour slot was available and it was. Of note, you MUST pre-book your tasting and tour - they operate on an appointment-only basis and it's BYOF (bring your own food). This is not only their vineyard, but also their home - which means you are welcomed in like a guest by Ed and Kathy for your visit. Our visit started with a tour of the vineyard grounds - you will get up close and personal with the grape vines and understand what is really behind what you taste later on. There's plenty to see as there is 15 acres under vines and a total of 7 different grape varietals (two whites, Chardonnay and Albariño and five reds, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Teroldego and Pinot Noir). You'll learn why they planted the way they did and why they planted what they did. You'll understand that Ed's medical background shows up in the health and care of the vines in ways that make a difference in the final output of the plants. We then went to the porch for a fireside tasting of four wines: Albarino (2022), Rose of Cabernet Franc (2022), Cabernet Franc (2020 - American Oak and 2020 - Slovenian Oak). The wines are outstanding. The Albarino is crisp, dry and refreshing - ready for any fish or poultry meal, or just a nice dry white to enjoy with friends. The Rose is a perfect sipper - not sweet by any means and would work well with a variety of foods. The Cabernet Francs were tasted side-by-side while listening to the story of their Slovenian Oak barrels / barrel-making process. The American Oak is full bodied and to me had a hint of a whiskey-like feel to it. The Slovenian Oak was smooth and elegant - certainly something worth enjoying with friends and family. After that, we went into the barrel room to see some more of the operation and do a barrel tasting (if you've not done one of these before, they are very special as you're tasting wines before they are bottled and in some cases while they are still in the maturing phase!). It was an informative and enjoyable experience - it's clear that Ed and Kathy are passionate about their grapes and wines. Take the trip to the mountains and treat yourself to some amazing Maryland wines while there at Six Wicket Vineyards!”
“My vehicle broke down just off the exit for Myersville, so I spent several hours at this McDonalds. The staff was quick and courteous, the restaurant was clean, and my orders were accurate.Kid-friendliness: My toddler was with me and received individual greetings and smiles from the staff.”
“Great food and a great location ( view was awesome and nicely kept property). Very clean and amazing service. Food was very fresh. Loved our lunch and will return again, as this was the nicest SubWay restaurants I have ever been”
“This is a Vegetarian ReviewJust got our food to go while driving by, but went inside and saw the amazing decor! Reminded me so much of my childhood. It seemed like a place that people who live in the area go to, like a real community space. So I wouldn't want to bring the highway hordes down on it. But it would be a delightful place to stop for a quick BK lunch or dinner. Also, the staff went the extra mile. One of them took care to make sure we got some BBQ sauces we'd asked for. And the food was delicious. Including the Impossible Whopper, which is why BK and Taco Bell are the only fast food places we visit these days as vegetarians.”
“my wife and i and another couple decided to try fratellis because a friend highly recommended . what a wonderful dining experience . excellent food and service , we cannot wait to return again in the future.”
“I’ve seen a ton of chatter about this spot in the recent weeks and now we know why! My husband and ordered dinner from here tonight and it was out of this world. The food is SO fresh and SO delicious and the owner is so kind. This might be our new favorite take-out spot!”
“First time here, will definitely return. Authentic, fantastic food. Pho broth was a dream - balanced, rich and super fresh. Bahn mi sandwich / pork was moist, fresh, and the fixings were thoroughly on point. They make their own mayo/sauce and also they mix their own quatre epices / a basic spice used in Vietnamese cooking that often can be overwhelming. You can see the pride of food, and hospitality. Super clean bathrooms. I also noted frequent and thorough cleaning of restaurant surfaces. Friendly and warm service. Super generous in portions, and most other plates I was eyeing / while inhaling my own, looked delicious. If you travel through Frederick Md make this a must stop by place. We will definitely put this on our must return to, list.”
“Was in the neighborhood looking at furniture and was told about the bakery. I like bakeries. Bought an apple pie, a Danish pastery, and a cookie. The cookie didn't make it home, my wife confiscated the Danish, and we shared the pie. Everything was fantastic, and I'm glad I don't live closer...if I did I'd never fit in my pants.”
“Yesterday my family was celebrating the 19th anniversary of the adoption of our three sons who are now in their mid-to-late 20's. Viktorija was our server, and she was phenomenal. She was very attentive, lots of fun and engaging, and made our afternoon really enjoyable for all of us. One of the best servers we've had - anywhere. None of us live in the area - it was half way for each of us, coming from PA and/or VA, so sadly we won't get to visit Viktorija more often. But we wanted to recognize her because she should be applauded for her excellent service.”
“When I say beautiful ? I mean beautiful ❤️ For this place to be packed on Easter but still have amazing service, food and staff! Ummm I was speechless ? Kate was our server she has a heart of gold. The chocolate covered strawberries are stealing Godiva 's spotlight and the atmosphere is so romantic ❤️?? It was my first time here and I'll definitely be back!!! They were so accommodating to my lil toddler and family and wheelchair access is available! Yummy spinach dip, my toddlers chicken bites were yummy! Everything was Soooo Fresh! 10/10 would recommend!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Kid-friendliness: Yummy options for kids with a lovely staff who will love your kiddies too! ?Wheelchair accessibility: Lil ramp upon entrance with nice space ?”
“This is by far my favorite restaurant right now. (And has been since 2022) Seems family owned, super friendly. Food is amazing. Even if they always have new staff in training, they can't seem to keep employees beyond the family- the food is great and I'm a loyal customer.”
“Hands down great people and good beer. Owned and operated by a family who cares about their customers and the quality of their drinks. Stop in, you will not be disappointed.”
“I love this place. I am from Chicago and let me tell you this coffee stop is better than anything you've ever had. I am a big fan of cappuccinos, London fog, and anything with honey cinnamon and hazelnut. Thank you for putting the smile on my face today?”
“Our son brought home food from Poke and Sushi and said "This is better than your usual place". We walked in for the first time last night and found old friends, the previous owners of our " usual place". Oh my gosh, how I missed quality sushi! Everything we had, spring rolls, shrimp shumai, fire roll, poke bowl and ramen soup was excellent. Ordered way too much, but convenient packaging encouraged us to enjoy another meal for lunch. Would going back today be too soon?”
“Honestly, the best Chinese restaurant experience I’ve ever had! And it’s more than just Chinese! Everything was absolutely delicious and the staff was so welcoming and friendly! Our toddler was welcomed and he loved the food too! We will definitely be back and we will bring friends!”
“My husband and I love Springfield! Not only do we love attending the Lavender festival in June and the paint classes, we had our wedding in the ballroom at Springfield recently and it was incredible! We received multiple compliments on the beauty of the venue, the food, the overall layout of the ballroom, and the overall atmosphere at Springfield!Brian was amazing with making sure my husband and I knew how much time we had left until our ceremony and making sure we were hydrated and had plenty of snacks.I want to give a shoutout to Loree and Mary. Loree (Brian’s wife) was so prompt and detailed in her emails. We were able to access Springfield at an earlier time due to our ceremony start time (3PM). Loree answered all of our questions in a timely manner and took care of all of our requests!Mary was amazing too! We had a last minute cancellation and were able to have another guest fill the cancellation at a different table, she made sure the guest who was present at our wedding had their meal at the correct table for dinner.Overall I recommend Springfield to anyone who wants the overall experience at their wedding!”
“Fantastic staff, great food, and a great environment. They host local music and go out of their way to accommodate local artists. One of my favorite local spots!”
“Simplicity at its finest. The raging bull is my favorite milk shake. It’s got a nice strong shot of espresso in it.The BLT is dynamite. As is the chicken salad. They have a chili that they don’t make in house. But, from what I understand, it is locally sourced and really good. I highly recommend stopping in for lunch some time!”
“I get very picky with Korean food because I know what authentic Korean food tastes like. Having said that, Sogongdong@Frederick is equal if not better than many Korean restaurants in Korea serving tofu soup. In fact any dish Sogongdong House serves (eg bibimbab or japchae) tastes authentic- so you can choose with confidence.Pricing is really competitive, since I don't have to go back Korea to taste home food hehe. At this price it is a no-brainer for quality food. So when I get tired of the local food with simple x-y axis of sweet and salty as the only dimensions of flavor, I come here to do a palate indulgence and remind myself of the depth of flavor I am capable of appreciating. Seafood tofu soup is amazing. If I don't pay attention I end up sipping the soup and cross my eyes to stare into the abyss of warmth that my soul envelops around. Service is great- you can walk over to the stall and ask for a bit more kimchi and they will gladly top it up. Ambience is very casual as it is a food court, great for in-promptu family dinner and the kids are hugely entertained by a korean stationery store and robo-picker games. It also helps that there is sushi, fried chicken and dumplings from other stalls as well, making this place a one-stop world-cuisine.”
“The best Greek food in Maryland!!! The owners are the most amazing people and everything they serve is homemade! Please stop by and try their gyro platter, steak and cheese , Greek salad and baklava!!! You will not be ”
“The food is sooo good!!! Best Thai food we have ever had and the service is excellent!!! We just moved to the area and we are so excited to have found this place!!!”
“This is a cute little place with great customer service and even better food. Never had a Ruben and it has set the bar very high for any one I have after. I am a bit of a cinnamon roll snob and I will say that the owners take was made with a unique batter that keeps the rolls moist. The typical frosting was made with a caramel sauce that did not harden, leaving a nice ooey gooey (that’s the name ?) sweet layer on top that melts into the roll. I look forward to making the trip again!”
“We had a wonderful experience today during lunch service. I took 3 of my kids out and was honestly nervous about how it would go. However, our server was SO sweet, and very kind and attentive to my kiddos. It was super busy with 2 very large parties, but no one kept us waiting. The food was delicious, and at my request, the owner excitedly brought paper and crayons for the kids to color when they were becoming anxious. I feel that the changes coming with the new ownership are exciting and the food was still excellent, just as it always has been. Thank you! See you again soon!”
“As a transplant from Texas, we have been searching and trying a lot of Mexican restaurants. This little restaurant tucked away in a shopping center was a pleasant surprise. Wife liked her margarita and beef enchiladas. I enjoyed my carne asada with yucca and plantains. It is probably one of the better Mexican (type) restaurants in Fredrick area if we do not consider Guapo’s and Ixtapalapa.”
“This place is amazing: friendly, fast service, low prices, and HUGE portions! The ice cream is delicious and they have a really good selection of flavors. My daughter tried black cherry ice cream for the first time and raved about it so much that she begged us to drive the 90+ miles to visit again. It's honestly so good that I think the drive is worth it, too! It was a highlight of our weekend trip.”
“Met up with friends and everyone was pleased with their meals. I hadn’t been to an Outback in years. I had the filet minion with mashed potatoes and a salad. The filet was cooked spot on to perfection. The service was attentive and friendly. I would definitely return to this location.”
“Best restaurant in Frederick, we come here often for special occasions or just because. The service is great and the food never disappoints. I always recommend this restaurant whenever someone asks for a good place to eat. It's my favorite!”
“We had a wonderful dinner at B. Andersons! I ordered the oxtails over rice and cabbage, Amy had the meatloaf, candied yams and Mac & cheese. The food was SPECTACULAR! The oxtails were the best I’ve ever had! It’s obvious that most folks order takeout, but there’s something to be said for eating in. It’s almost as if you’re a part of what’s going on, and we made a few new friends tonight, and that’s always special! Portions are very generous, and I can’t wait to come back and try another entree and some of the other sides!”
“What crab cake? It is more like a generous portion of seasoned lump crab, no breading to be found, and it is incredible. (We skipped the sandwich fixins too since we were ordering so much food) The soup! Most spots either do a creamy style or a tomato style - they do both so well, and they sell a half and half mix which I highly recommend. It was so decadent and warming after a chilly hike on part of the AT nearby. The crab dip was amazing, and the texture of the chips they serve it with is out of this world. The hush puppies are a must too imo. Cannot wait to return to this little gem. Makenzie gave us recommendations and took our order at the register, brought our food and anything else we needed, bussed the tables, swept the floors! Its rare to see someone run the front of the house on their own like that, it was cool to sit and eat in Makenzie’s hospitality :) 10/10”
