“First time visiting Brookside Inn and we were blown away! The food was outstanding. The menu is so descriptive that it makes you want to try everything you’d honestly have to come back multiple times just to experience it all. We also loved that they support Hemp’s Meat, a local meat locker. The staff was absolutely phenomenal. Our waitress, Kaylor, was incredible she memorized all of our orders and provided excellent service throughout the entire meal. Everything was cooked to perfection. My husband had the jalapeño burger, I had the beef brisket sandwich, and our daughter ordered the buffalo wings. The wings alone were worth the money very meaty and cooked perfectly. We’re already looking forward to going back and truly believe this will become our new go-to dining spot!”

“This was our first experience at Daisy Cakes. My first impression was it was extremely cute! We were instantly greated as soon as we walked in. The 'dad' explained all the flavors to us. We of course got a dozen of all different flavors. My go-to flavor is always a custard filled and it did not disappoint.
We definitely want to try out the cakes they make.”

“Long post ahead, warning! I walked in around 9 pm and the hostess didn't bat an eye at my dining alone, and didn't say anything about it, which I appreciate. I was seated right away with no problems and immediately got a chance to look over the menu. I will admit, it took a little bit longer than expected for my waiter to come over, but as a lone diner I sort of expected that. I looked like I was waiting for someone, I'm sure. The look and feel of the place was very upscale, but they didn't have any problems with me walking in wearing a nerdy t-shirt. I was seated in this cute little booth for 2 with curtains on the side so, if I wanted a more private dinner, I could have it. It was a cute touch! The restaurant also offered patio dining and since it's by the creek, that would have been a downright charming experience were it not the usual Maryland summer. Despite having a bar, the restaurant was respectably quiet and low-key, making it an easy dining experience. I wasn't in the mood for something wild, and this place really hit the nail on the head. My first waiter Kevin, however, was the picture of polite helpfulness. He answered all of my questions, made some wonderful suggestions, and was incredibly pleasant to talk to. I was delighted to find out that this place takes part in DC restaurant week, so I was able to take part in that promotion. Under a suggestion from Kevin, I ordered a glass of their moscato (I wanted something light and sweet), and the wine was so good I brought home a whole bottle. Not really on them, but it does reflect their excellent selection. Dinner itself was delicious. The red pepper soup was refreshing and flavorful, without being too filling. The steak I ordered was cooked to perfection and was flavored in the perfect way to make the actual flavor of the meat shine. The potatoes were both light and fluffy, but also had the little chunks of potato that I prefer in my mashed. The best part was desert. About halfway through my appetizer, Kevin introduced my other waiter, Maddy, who took over after he went home. She was as much of a delight as he was, and made possibly the best recommendation of the night. Desert was this blackberry tart that I did not have room for but could not put down. Gooey and crumbly all at once, with a warm center that was almost caramel-y even though it was fruit based. Topped with a light cream to balance it all out, it was absolutely delicious. I will be thinking of that tart all day tomorrow. The prices on the menu were a little high, but I wouldn't go so far to say they were unreasonable. If I had wanted a cheaper option, I could have gone to any chain restaurant ever. In the grand scheme of downtown Frederick, with it's many small businesses and one of a kind dining experiences, I think this was reasonable. For reference, a lot of meals were between $20 and $30, but a good steak is almost always $30+. Despite the price, I had an exceptional dining experience, and would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for upscale dining, without the upscale requirements.”

“Alekos was absolutely fantastic! The food was delicious and every bite was full of flavor. The drinks were phenomenal — truly some of the best crafted cocktails I’ve had in a while. They’re top-notch, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet like so many places tend to make them. A special shoutout to Liz the bartender, who was amazing! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly takes pride in what she creates behind the bar. Her cocktails were spot-on and elevated the entire experience. If you’re looking for great food, expertly made drinks, and excellent service, Alekos is definitely worth a visit. We’ll absolutely be back!”

“We've eaten there before. This was a take-out. We got there early. Our order was not ready, which I appreciated. (would have been cold had I been on time) Everything was very well packaged and brought up exactly on time. The stuff portobello was excellent as always. The angel hair pasta with garlic wine sauce and spinach was a bit bland, corrected with salt. The strawberry salmon salad would have been excellent if the salmon wasn't overdone. It was still very good. We did not care for the crab soup. 2 very nice side salads and yummy bread. Large portions. One of the servers offered us water while we waited which was very nice.”

“I just celebrated my 64th birthday at Red Lobster in Frederick and absolutely loved it. The food was great, and the waiter was exceptional. I spent my day trying to decide where I wanted to go to celebrate and decided on Red Lobster just before leaving out to go to Texas Roadhouse. On the way home we all decided Red Lobster was a great pick. I recommend that you try it also.”

“Crumbl Cookies is one of those places that instantly grabs your attention, from the rotating weekly menu to the warm, fresh cookies that hit you with that amazing smell as soon as you walk in. The cookies themselves are super soft, thick, and packed with flavor—definitely more of a rich, dessert-style treat than your average cookie. Some flavors are incredible and feel really unique, while others can be a bit overly sweet, so it kind of depends on what you pick that week.

The presentation is also a big plus—the pink box and neatly arranged cookies make it feel a little more special, almost like a gift to yourself. However, the price is on the higher side compared to regular bakeries, which might not make it an everyday stop for everyone. Overall, Crumbl is worth trying if you’re looking for something indulgent and fun, especially if you enjoy switching things up with new flavors each week.”

Andrea had the mushroom ravioli. That was an earthy, tasty treat pack with mushrooms. Love the cafe style. Will go back as often as we can.”

“I had an amazing experience at this restaurant ( I think my favorite restaurant ) yesterday . I had to change the time of my reservation while already at the restaurant due to late arrival of the others in my group. They graciously switched the reservation . Enrico was very helpful with a few other concerns I had about my group. The bartender was friendly and made an amazing drink while I waited for my company to arrive . Our waiter Marcello was wonderful and the food was melt in your mouth delicious ! They also have gluten free pasta and pizza dough in case someone in your group is gluten free. Can’t say enough about this restaurant that makes you feel like you are part of the family !”

“Where do I even begin? The pita? Perfect texture and taste. The cherry tomatoes? Obviously fresh, juicy, and sourced from a great farm. The romain? Plentiful and CRISP. The Dill and Taziki sauce? Also VERY fresh, has a citrus kick somewhere, and seems to be made fresh as well. Because it doesn't taste like a store bought sauce filled with preservatives. The hummus? That might actually be where the citrus is from. However, the hummus is not overly salty! You can actually taste the Chickpeas and they use good ingredients as well as olive oil for the hummus too! The chicken? Is in NO way shape or form dry and it's actually seasoned! It's juicy and normal is it overcooked. The olives? Brothers and sisters I HATE olives by themselves, rarely on certain foods. But these olives are not overpowering and stealing the flavor profile, it just adds more depth to the flavor bomb of the Greek chicken Pita! The feta? What could be bettah? Seriously though if you can see this picture you should've seen that they don't skip on the feta either. Again the flavor is ALL the way there but not overpowering. While the texture is almost creamy. Probably with assistance from the sauce but still, it's not overly dry! 10/10 Would recommend & I will be back! Now the facility was spotless, the cleanest "fast food" I've ever seen. The staff? Phenomenonal, personable, kind, attentive to details, and downright superstars that make that place run like clockwork! Wooooo wo weeeee wo!!! If you haven't been here then you've got to go!! Moderate prices, exceptional ingredients, lovely staff, and clean facilities(where the staff actually care like the NW Expressway location in OKC). I'm out, ty for listening to my Ted talk! 🫡”

“The crab cakes lacked seasoning. Same for the cream of crab soup. The French onion soup was too salty, while not unusual, it wasn't expected for this level of restaurant. Our wait staff was excellent. And the atmosphere is also excellent. It was our first time for dinner. We'd been numerous times for lunch and will limit ourselves to lunch in the future.”
