Pupuseria La Familiar

The pupusas are mixed with queso seco and its disgusting. The steak burrito only had 4 pieces of steak, loaded with lettuce, accompanied by more lettuce. Servers really didnt care about the customer, they are just ready to go home. Thanks for the experience, wont be coming back

I’ve been here twice after they closed down La Familiar in College park. The first time around it was okay, there was a waitress that would ask how everything was and run away before I even say anything but not bad over all. However the second time back, the service was extremely slow and it wasn’t even busy, I had 4 different people “served” me. Every time someone would come up the table it was someone different. They did forget my food and judging by the other reviews this is something that happens very often in there. After I finally got my food no one came back to ask me how it was. Needles to say the food was dry, the steak was hard and chewy. Won’t be back, I miss La Familiar in College park, the food was always the best there and quick service.

The chicken soup here is horrible, its taste, the chicken on the side is deep fried not roasted and for the price is not a good option.

I love the pupusas revueltas made from rice flour. This is my favorite place to get them. Very authentic! I also had the Yuca frita con chicharron and it was very good and fresh. I don't mind taking a long drive to eat here.

Food tasted a little funny and I felt was slightly overpriced. We ordered an appetizer, 3 main courses and 4 drinks and it came out to almost $100.

Good people! Amazing food. They just forgot 3/4th of my order. Ordered two tamales and two pupusas and only got one. Called them and they would not work with me.

I just left the establishment and I was very disappointed. Something happened to me that had never happened to me in this restaurant. I placed my order by phone so I could get there to pick it up, everything was normal, but when I got to the restaurant I asked for my order and I checked the bag and I saw that they had given me a small bag of cabbage, they charged me and gave me the drinks I ordered and then I told the boy that if he gave me a little more cabbage that they would have given me a little (my order was 4 pupusas) and the boy told me that that was the portion of cabbage that they normally gave for an order (so if I order 20 pupusas they will only give me a small bag of cabbage?) and then I answered him and took out the bag of cabbage and I showed it to him and I told him do you think this is for 4 pupusas, and he answered me today everything is expensive and stop again if you ask for extra cabbage we will charge you for it (I have no problem with paying extra cabbage and besides, who does the owner of the restaurant believe to say that everything is expensive, perhaps? ) and then he told me this time we are going to give it to him but another time we are going to charge him and I grabbed the bag with my order and left.
