I'm not one to usually pick soft serve over regular hand scooped ice cream but here I am! Devler's is what i didn't know soft serve could be. It's creamy, sweet without being cloying, and you get SO much of it. There are tables but shade so just be mindful of that in summer. They also offer lots of normal ice cream but I've yet to try it because of the amazing soft serve. This is a key stop for me when I'm in Oakland.

Adorable ice cream shop! Be forewarned - the sizes are gigantic!!! We got a medium soft serve in a cup and it was huge. The large is like a Big Gulp cup of ice cream. We had quite the shock! Ice cream was delicious and prices are ridiculously cheap. We will definitely be back!

Let me preface by saying, we always try to support local restaurants and I was with 5 other people. We noticed right away the menu items were more expensive than anticipated. It took almost 90 minutes to receive our food and the quality was lower than it should’ve been. Toward the 75 minute mark, we notice 3 other couples, whom arrived after us, receive their orders, pay and leave. We questioned the server about this and got an argumentative response rather than a rational explanation. I understand being busy, but I find this unacceptable.

Great ice cream. Friendly staff. Nice outdoor sitting area if you don't want to get it to go. No indoor dining. I would recommend checking it out if you're near Oakland and feel like ice cream, even worth the drive if you're nearby at Deep Creek Lake or The Wisp. This picture is the Full, not the 1/2. This place is fantastic. Fun creations and delicious flavors. Both the soft serve and hand dipped were tasty. The sea salt carmel was amazing the strawberry cheesecake subtle and delicious. Lots of happy teenagers and kids. Large portions.

Home town breakfast with great service. We decided that we were going to go to the museums nearby and we would stop by for breakfast after reading the reviews. This place did not disappoint. When you get to the building you think you were going into an antique store. However, once you walk in and head towards the back, you’ll quickly see a old time café experience. We had sausage gravy and biscuits, and an western omelette that was absolutely fantastic. There was not a seat to be had obviously, everyone local knows about this place also. The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent and wow those ladies and gentlemen were moving quickly to service everyone, everything was clean and tidy. After eating, we walked through the store and there are many things to see including nostalgic items.we will definitely go again when in town.
