The boba is delicious! The boba pearls used are a bit different, but definitely a new favorite. The egg rolls are also so good, especially with the sauce. I don’t really eat pho, but my fiancé enjoys the pho. I do wish the menu had more variety for people that don’t eat pho but they are a pho place so I can’t really complain!
OK. I had Bun Bo Hue and not Pho. It was very good. But to get it to taste the way it should, you need to ask for mam tom- shrimp paste. They will bring you a small dish with a table spoon of mam tom and fried chili in oil. Mam tom has a very strong odor but 1/2 teaspoon of it in your spicy beef noodle soup will completely change its flavor. What I like is the pork shank in the soup. I've been to Pho 5Up in Hannover, Odenton and Annapolis. The Odenton location is the best, in my opinion. I must admit though that their #15 spicy beef noodles soup is my preferred dish. The Annapolis location is also pretty good but a tiny bit different in taste. Be bold and ask for the pork hock with your spicy noodle soup and maybe ask for a bit of fermented shrimp paste as well.
