This place is very nice. It’s extremely busy on Friday night. We were there for March Madness. The place was packed. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars for service is because I waited 40 mins to get my check. The waitress kept giving me other items on my check when I told her three times what I ordered.

I was just here today for lunch and I got very sick from the food. Waitress was very nice, but I’m wondering what was going on in the kitchen. I got a breakfast sandwich with “fresh fruit.” The blueberries were so wrinkly they looked like raisins — I didn’t touch them. Why didn’t they just say they were out? I’ve been violently sick all evening. My guess would be something in the breakfast sandwich.

The food and drinks are always good and I've never had a bad experience with anyone on staff. The parmesan truffle fries are a favorite of mine. I will say the last time I was there I was surprised at the poor condition that the booths were in, there are huge sections of material missing. It wasn't uncomfortable but it looks really cheesy.

Upholstery on seating; marble(faux marble?) at the bar; a SLICE of real smoked brisket on the brisket burger; chef will prepare it rare if you like....51 beers on tap; steamed broccoli instead of fries; 14 big screen monitors on the walls
Do you hear me?

The policy of having just one check for "large" parties is bologna. I wanted to get three drinks and be done, but that was not allowed. That's just crazy. Plus, having just one tip creates a situation when it's then too easy to add a hidden "service charge" and create a double tip when they present just the credit card slip to sign. Never again until we get flexibility and transparency.

Subject: Great Service, Awesome Beer, BUT Food Poisoning from the Mac & Cheese Burger (Updated with Management Response)

I recently visited the Owings Mills World of Beer location and wanted to share my experience.
The service was fantastic! Our server was attentive and friendly, creating a really positive atmosphere. The beer selection, as always, was outstanding with plenty of options to explore.
Unfortunately, the reason for this review is not entirely positive. I ordered the Mac and Cheese Burger, and within 20 minutes of leaving the establishment, I became violently ill. I experienced severe food poisoning symptoms that lasted for a grueling 12 hours.

This leads me to believe there's a serious issue with food safety regarding that particular dish, or potentially with the kitchen practices in general. It's completely unacceptable to experience food poisoning after dining at any restaurant.

Update: I want to commend the General Manager of World of Beer Owings Mills for his prompt and professional response to my initial review. He reached out to me personally to express his concern and apologize for my experience. He took my complaint very seriously and looked into what might have happened, but as he explained, it's really hard to be 100% sure what causes food poisoning. He was very understanding and admitted that it might not have even been something I ate at the restaurant that made me sick. I appreciate his understanding and his sincere efforts to win back my business.

While I still have some reservations due to the severity of the incident, I am encouraged by the management's commitment to customer safety and satisfaction. I hope this was an isolated incident and that they will continue to prioritize the well-being of their patrons.

I don't frequent often, but I do go out here for drinks with coworkers. Have not once been disappointed between the drinks and food. They are legit my spot when it's been too long since having a good burger 🍔. That aside the servers are friendly and check up on you often.

This is a nice bar, known for their extensive selection of beers. The bartends are quite friendly too, though they’d prefer you order a brew instead of a smoked manhattan or whatever other cocktail requires 15 steps.

Parking: Easiest parking is in the Garage 1 (near the Metro Station). There is EV charging in Garage 1 (Free, just a couple), and Garage 2 (more, not free).

Kid-friendliness: Somewhat kid friendly. There are kids items available, but not a lot of choice. The bathrooms do not have stools for kids to reach the sinks. There is a changing table in the men’s room.

Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible entrance without any steps, but no automated doors and they are heavy. There are some regular tables with chairs which can be accessible and a lower-level of the bar at the far end. The majority of tables are high-tops. Bathrooms are meant to be accessible, but again heavy doors and the soap and hair dryers are high on the walls.

Stopped by from about 4-6PM on a Friday night and surprised at how dead it was the whole time, like mostly empty (as you can see in the pictures). I guess I just expected too much with a name like "W-O-R-L-D of Beer"....as this is more like "midsize town of beer". Granted they have a good selection but mostly IPAs and US breweries. Aside from a single pumpkin beer (it is now Christmas season), they had no seasonal beers. I asked to see their German and Belgian beers and they all were bottled and on one shelf. So if your taste is hoppy and US based breweries, you are probably good. Food was delicious and nicely presented (albeit standard bar/ pub fare variety) - loved the lemon pepper wings. The staff were AWESOME and incredibly friendly and stopped by all the time to see what they could get us. Prices are average. Surprised the bathrooms were out of paper towels and a little trashy when the place is so empty and lots of employees but overall the place has a decent open industrial vibe and lots of TVs but no obnoxiously loud music that prevents you from hearing your table talking. Overall an OK place to hit after work.
