Service was really bad. Couldn't honor reservations. Food had no flavoring. Took an hour to sit down even with a reservation. Terrible.

We made reservations through OpenTable for the Sunday Brunch. We arrived at our time and were greeted by the host, when we gave our name she rolled her eyes and said “Oh, OpenTable huh?” Then she went on to say that they really shouldn't be honoring the reservation cause OpenTable messes them up, but I guess we have to take you. At that point we decided to leave. On top of that, they did not offer the Sunday Brunch that is listed on their website and menu on OpenTable. Very disappointed and will not return. If you don't want to work with companies, don't treat customers poorly.

The restaurant insisted we didn't have a reservation. And it got worse from there. Lunch turned out to be a “brunch buffet” - at 1:30PM - that ended at 2 (?!?) and the buffet was pancakes, eggs, make your own salad, and some greasy salmon and chicken laying in a bath of oil. Nothing from a “steakhouse” menu. Dinner the night before was barely passable with an okay pair of crab cakes (for $62?!) and a tasteless steak and tiny overpriced sides. I understand that a convention hotel attached restaurant is likely to be overpriced - that wasn't my first concern - the poor food, insulting “brunch buffet” and ridiculous prices and careless service make this a no-go.

Food was nothing special and not very hot. Service was awful, waiter kept skipping us. Did not feel very welcomed. The prices are ridiculous for what you get. The same steak at local places for cheaper are better cooked. Dessert tasted off like it had gone bad.

Opentable Diner

Great food, great service, atmosphere was lovely. Table design needs updating but overall great.

Our waiter, Mr. Happy was great and the lady that assisted him (refilling water, removing dishes, etc.) was also great

Server MARK was excellent! However, Kitchen never started the food ticket. Waited 2+ hours for food to come out. Manager came over after 1.5 hours and offered a salad (which we already had) or to box the food for us to-go. He NEVER came back over to ask if everything was cooked alright after it finally came out, or to apologize before we left. 2 hours before food is served is UNACCEPTABLE for a place of this “caliber”. Mark the server was apologetic, accommodating, and kind, much more professional than the joke of a “manager”.

Excellent service AMAZING food. There is just not enough stars to give this restaurant. Our waiter Ruben was out of this world very attentive. The chef was charismatic and very charming his food is completely out of this world. This restaurant definitely deserves a few Michelin Star. If you are in the area definitely make it a point to stop in you won’t regret it.

Another unfortunate DC area restaurant where the service is lacking. Felt like I was in the employee break room when having drinks at the bar. Is meant to be an upscale lounge feel. But the employees are using their OUTSIDE voices inside while screeching to each other about their upcoming days off and ‘where is the espresso?!?’ The manager wore ankle boots with very heavy heels that rattled the floors and subsequently the chairs as she took every step of her 10K journey back and forth throughout the restaurant BOTH nights I popped in while staying at the hotel.

We went for a birthday celebration. It was not crowded on a Saturday night. He wanted steak and I wanted lobster. He's steak, good. However they ran out of lobster. Ran out! I had a very expensive pork chop. It wasn't even a atte night dinner. I was truly disappointed.

Chose this restaurant because it was convenient within the hotel where the business conference was held. However, hearing the feedback from my leader and the customer he was meeting with was unfortunate. The service was not great, and the food quality was not up to par. I am sharing this because I hope you take this feedback not as criticism but as respectful advice. Hopefully, this will help with any future changes in the overall service to have reoccurring reservations. Thank you!

Loved the dinner at the Old Hickory. Food was amazing. Staff was prompt and thoughtful. Never had to ask for anything as the waiter was there immediately. We had steak (ribeye and Filet) both cooked excellent. My wife loved the bread and butter. They even boxed up extra to take home. The tuna tartar was delicious.

We visited for breakfast on a quiet weekday. The host was welcoming, but the waitstaff seemed disorganized, due to them being union apparently they were trying to figure out who's turn it was to serve the next table. After a considerable wait of them trying to figure it out, the host ended up serving us coffee. The food was good, and the restaurant was beautiful, but overall, the service experience was very disappointing. We won't be returning.
