Chicken was dry, did not have majority of wines available and overall cleanliness was minimal (cobwebs on window seals, trash underneath table).

The restaurant is in a beautiful setting, overlooking the river and dock area of National Harbor. The meal was particularly well received by my nine-year grandson, who can be very particular about the food he eats. The French toast meal accompanied by fresh fruit, with the addition of a fruit smoothy was just the right combination for him. He is already looking forward to the visit next year around this time.

We went for brunch to celebrate my friends’s bday. Although it was nearly empty in there at 12pm on a Sunday afternoon, the hostess and server seemed to not know where to sit us….it was very odd…so after waiting for 15 mins to be seated (although we made reservations) we were finally seated and greeted by our server in a timely manner.

We ordered soups, appetizer and main entrees. The crab soup was very runny with very little crab in it. Our meals arrived…however our appetizers never did. We were fine with skipping it at that point and asked the server to please just remove it from the bill as we are eating our main meals now. He insisted it was still coming out and they were making it…we explained to him again that the appetizer should generally come out before our main meals so at this point we didn’t want it. He seemed annoyed by that, versus being apologetic, which was also odd to me.

Finally, when I cut into my steak, I ordered the steak and eggs, the steak was cooked medium well, I ordered a medium steak. I could normally just deal, but this steak was really almost well done, with just a tinge of light pink in the middle. I explained to our waiter that the steak was over cooked, he agreed and then proceeded to tell me that unfortunately the cooks tend to “overcook” the steaks instead of actually cooking to the temperature you ask. So he said he I’ll have them remake my steak, and he made sure to tell me that he would ask them to make it “medium-rare” so that it would come out at least medium. Which again to me is so odd. He brought out a new steak and this time, it was cooked to well done…I kindly returned the meal and just asked for our check so we could leave. The waiter comes back and makes it a point to tell me he removed the steak and eggs (which I did not eat and returned) as well as the crab dip appetizer (which we never received) and acted like I should be thankful. I reminded him that he rightfully remove two items we never consumed off of our check, I was annoyed, hungry and ready to go at that time. I asked for a manager, who never came to our table and we paid and left.

Needless to say, the birthday brunch was not great, and this was our first and LAST time coming to Sauciety at the Westin. I was very surprised by the poor service and food quality because the only reason we chose this restaurant was due to the food reviews we read. The only thing nice about this establishment is the location and the views. Might I add, this is the first review I’ve ever written for any establishment.

When we walked into The Westin you could hear how the music was loud. The music that was played was not for a brunch atmosphere. Our seats were dirty, so I had to ask one of the waitress if she could clean them off for us. Housekeeping needs to be way better. The price for the food was not worth it. Me and daughter were not happy with our meals. I did appreciate our waitress though. She was very professional, friendly and attentive to us. Thank you again.

Enjoyed my visit back home for Father's Day and always wanted to try this restaurant at the Harbor. It's based in the Westin Hotel, which is beautiful by the way, and it's open seating makes it perfect for a family gathering, business meet or day with friends! Perfect view of the harbor where you can enjoy the view outside while waiting on your food. Very clean, staff is very friendly, and food came out on time and tasted amazing! I was there for brunch and their crabmeat omelette was a perfect taste of Maryland! Thanks for a great experience!!! Highly recommend??

Went to a business dinner with colleagues
The setup of the restaurant seems nice although the large windows primarily have a view of pedestrians on the sidewalk, the windows also had no shades and the afternoon sun was directly in our eyes, made it uncomfortable

The servers seemed very new and really struggled and kept making mistakes and in some cases were not polite in how the served it took away plates
I asked for coffee that never came
I ordered the steak, it had little flavor and could not actually finish it
Overall was thoroughly disappointed

The food was delicious. My dad had the butternut squash ravioli and salmon. He loved the salmon but said that the ravioli was too sweet. We were celebrating my parents 65th wedding anniversary. Their desert was on the house which was nice but it would have been nice if they had done something special in the presentation. That being said we had a very nice experience with beautiful views of the harbor.
